Now, certainly, if one nation attacks another the attacker should expect the attacked to fight back and even attack in the attackers borders. How well will it work, though, if Ukraine is using US missiles?
Biden authorizes Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles for deeper strikes inside Russia
President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles to strike deeper inside Russia, easing limitations on the weapons as Russia deploys thousands of North Korean troops to reinforce its war, according to a U.S. official and three other people familiar with the matter.
The decision allowing Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMs, for attacks farther inside Russia comes as President Vladimir Putin positions North Korean troops along Ukraine’s northern border to try to reclaim hundreds of miles of territory seized by Ukrainian forces.
Biden’s move also follows the presidential election victory of Donald Trump, who has said he would bring about a swift end to the war and raised uncertainty about whether his administration would continue the United States’ vital military support for Ukraine. (big snip)
Biden had remained opposed, determined to hold the line against any escalation that he felt could draw the U.S. and other NATO members into direct conflict with nuclear-armed Russia.
So, what changed?
Worried about Russia’s response, however, the Biden administration repeatedly has delayed providing some specific advanced weapons sought by Ukraine, agreeing only under pressure from Kyiv, its supporters and in consultation with allies.
Almost no article that I’ve read really delves into the potential consequences of this. What will Putin do? Now, Ukraine doesn’t have a whole lot of the missiles, but, they require calibration and control by US satellites. Will US government assets be actually in control of these long range strikes? Yeah, it would be nice to boot Russia out of Ukraine, but, are we will to widen the war?

The Chinese have pulled their forces from near Taiwan and stopped the overflights and intimidation.
Most importantly, the people of Russia and Georgia and Belarus which are the main allies of Putin are rioting in the streets at a time when Putin does not have enough of anything to put down such rebellions. The Nuke clock is one sec before midnight and hear is hoping that the Oligarchs of Russia arrest and assassinate Putin when he orders the use of Tactical Nukes and god forbid….ICBM’s on the USA and NATO.
Because not unlike the USA, Russia is owned and operated by Billionaires with massive amounts of power, just like the deep state exists. A recent study found that 80 billionaires supported Harris while 50 supported Trump. There are lots of billionaires floating around and Musk just threatened Soros because the Jet setting Oligarch who has his hands in Russia and the USA wants the USA to become a communist nation before his tired old ass dies. Most of the rest of these billionaires just want more money. Big difference.
