Dr and Mrs Oz have investments in United Health Care Group, a leading Medicare Advantage provider. In administrations past, he would ‘offload’ his financial ties to rules and programs that would benefit him financially.
Co-president Elon Musk is heading a non-government commission to improve efficiency and transparency. Is it a conflict that his Space-X has tens of BILLIONS of dollars of contracts with the US government? Or that his EVs receive government subsidies? Not to worry, Musk can be trusted. LOL.

Remember the good ol’ days? Post WWII, our top marginal rate exceeded 90%, and our economy grew, the middle class exploded, we built highways, dams, bridges, universities, schools and airports. And we PAID DOWN the federal debt!!
I don’t care how much millionaires and billionaires gouge out. But they OWE the nation that made it possible. Our policies permit, even encourage, that the working class bear the burden. MAGA will make it worse.
Way back when our top marginal rate exceeded 90% America and our economy were quite different than today. Hell back then (1955) there were 10 cabinet positions to piss away money. Today there are 15 or 50% more and they are all basically superfluous.
Since the 90% tax days we’ve had 13 presidents, only six were Republicans meaning if you have a problem with taxes its more a Democrat creation. And even Maori know it’s the Democrats who do the lions share of spending. IOW no one is free of blame when it comes to taxes, spending or what they were spent on.
You should also bear in mind the huge tax deductions that were available in the 90% days.
But rather than crying about how high you want to penalize the creators/producers how do you think in the modern world a tax rate of 90% would fly? If you believe that anyone from my dad to Elon would pay that you’re nuts. You would bankrupt the nation overnight. So stop pining for the bad old days and look to what we need for the future.
