Trump Writes There Will Be Hell To Pay If Hamas Doesn’t Release The Hostages

This has really upset a bunch of lefties

The moonbats are more upset that Trump would do this before inauguration day than that Hamas is still holding hostages, including Americans. Even the media is tending to treat it with Basic Journalism, no analysis, and certainly no cheers

Trump Threatens ‘Hell to Pay’ Unless Gaza Hostages Are Freed Before Inauguration

President-elect Donald J. Trump on Monday demanded that the hostages taken in the Hamas-led attack on Israel be released from Gaza before his inauguration in January, or there will be “hell to pay” in the Middle East for those responsible.

Writing on Truth Social, and without naming any militant group, Mr. Trump said in his post: “If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!”

About 250 hostages were captured in the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct, 7, 2023, and about 100 of them remain in Gaza, with about a third believed to be dead, according to the Israeli authorities. The Biden administration has been working since last year with Israel and international mediators, including Qatar and Egypt, on a cease-fire deal that would include release of the hostages.

One would think this would be a good thing, getting the hostages back, especially the Americans. It’s something that Biden should have done a year ago. But, then we get stuff like this from hyper leftist The New Republic

Trump’s Genius Plan to Release Gaza Hostages: More War
As usual, the president thinks bellicose threats of force—very much including setting off a regional war with Iran—are the solution to all of the world’s problems.

Suddenly war is bad for direct American interests after Biden kept it going in Ukraine and has essentially helped both sides after Hamas attacked Israel. Both of which are direct reflections on Biden’s horrible Afghanistan withdrawal. Few news outlets are saying “great, it was high time to put the terrorists on notice and get our people back.”

Hamas needs to be obliterated, wiped from the face of the earth, but that doesn’t mean that the United States should be the ones to do it.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be either. Who else?

      • Professor Hale says:

Are you volunteering? I am sure there in an airport near you with daily flights to Israel. There are also multiple charities for various forms of relief. You are welcome to give as much as your own money as you would like.

Personally, I would be for a little less American involvement in foreign fights that we don’t have a dog in. There are a LOT more sex slaves being held right here in the USA, thanks to the Biden administration, that we need to deal with. There are a LOT more American citizens being raped and killed right here in the USA, thanks to the Biden Administration. If our Military is not willing to lift a finger to defend our own country, they should be disbanded rather than send to defend a foreign country.

        • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

No I’m not volunteering, professor. I’ve been a fireman for the last 22 years and have already done my time risking my life for others. Now I’m too old for the military and am disabled with a crushed leg. Do you believe I cannot support something I cannot participate in?

And for your information I already contribute to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. I’m not Elwood, I was taught by my parents to be altruistic and support worthy causes. I also support Tunnel 2 Towers, The Int. Red Cross, St. Jude Hosp for Children, The Shriners Hospital and my Presby church. I do not live in a left wing bubble of DNC, NOW and BLM contributions to assuage my white guilt.

That said my statement: “Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be either. Who else?” was meant to be more rhetorical than literal. If there is a problem that affects many Americans (JEWS) I think we should at least look at it.

          • Professor Hale says:

I accept your argument and bona fides on this issue. Still, I automatically reject the “we must do something” argument since well documented history shows it is almost always a rush to do a very bad decision. “We” is potentially a lot of people. Most of “We” have no interest in that particular plot of land at all. The people who do should have the choice, and the burden, of whatever they are proposing. I am done watching American young men go into harms way for dubious causes. I am done taking America’s working class or inflating the currency to transfer billions to other people on the other side of the planet. I also reject the notion that the Israelis cannot handle this on their own. I trust the people of that region to eventually settle things on their own, or pay the price. The days of US presidents paying off both sides so he can get a Rose Garden Photo Op over a peace treaty that no one intends to keep should be over.

Commenter: There are a LOT more sex slaves being held right here in the USA, thanks to the Biden administration, that we need to deal with. There are a LOT more American citizens being raped and killed right here in the USA, thanks to the Biden Administration

          Evidence?

There WAS a 28% increase in homicide rate in 2020 (last year of Trump the First).

Commenter: If our Military is not willing to lift a finger to defend our own country,

WTF is the commenter talking about? How dare he/she. We have the greatest, most potent military in the history of militaries. Our military does as it is told, as long as it is Constitutional. Our military has done a damn near perfect job defending America.

And no, American troops should not be used to fight the wars of other nations.

      • Dana says:

        Israel!

Yes, I’d go along with providing them weapons.

  2. Professor Hale says:

    Pretty pointless as a Gesture.

    1. The people responsible have already “paid Hell” and the great majority are there now soaking in their reward. There are too few surviving “those reponsible” for any policy to be effective or make sense.

    2. The unaccounted for hostages are either already dead but not found, or enslaved in foreign lands. Either way, they are beyond the reach of Hamas to “give them back”, beyond the reach of America to “take them back”.

    3. There are no “American hostages”. There are Israelis with American passports. That doesn’t make them American. 4 of the 7 are already known to be dead. How many Americans should the USA sacrifice in a war to free 3 Israelis who willingly lived on the other side of the planet and called it their home?

    4. The possibility of getting anyone back is remote to the point of no longer mattering, except by accident. Begin the retribution campaign to reduce the chances that “those responsible” will ever try or be able to do this again. If that effort results in a few living hostages being found, so be it. Count it as a gift from heaven, not something they could create by their own power.

  3. James Lewis says:

    Professor, you disappoint me.

The military can’t be used within the US.

    This isn’t Ukraine.

    Note he wrote “Middle East.”

We have a leg in it. Iraq will continue until they have a nuke to use on us.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

I believe you are correct James Lewis. We will fuk around refusing to face the fact that ALL of Islam is our mortal enemy until they are all nuked up then we can sit and watch our cities take on that Hiroshima glow.

I am a firm believer in identifying ones enemies and destroying them before they destroy you.

      • Professor Hale says:

I am a firm believer in identifying ones enemies and destroying them before they destroy you.

I am a firm believer in the Gandolf doctrine:
Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.

I have stood upon the once green hills of Serejevo, turned white, not with snow, but with grave markers. The graves of men who listened when other told them, “Those guys over there are going to destroy you”.

    • Professor Hale says:

      Professor, you disappoint me.

It won’t be the last time.

The military can’t be used within the US.

Not true. French-Indian wars, the Revolution 1776, war of 1812, more indian wars, war of 1861, more indian wars, Mexican American war, Punitive expedition 1916, WW2 are just a few off the top of my head. It’s not just old time wars. Remember 9-11 and the deployment of troops to US airports and CAP and AWACS missions flying over American cities? The US military today budgets resources to the task #1 “Defend the homeland”. Congress gives them that money. They all believe they can use the military in the US.

      This isn’t Ukraine.

I agree. Pretty soon, Ukraine won’t be either. I still don’t care.

      Note he wrote “Middle East.”

We have a leg in it. Iraq will continue until they have a nuke to use on us.

I think you meant Iran, But I understand your point. The fact is, Iran has been a nuisance to the USA since their revolution in 79. Lots of government people have wanted to bomb them to blazes. Many still do. They are on the other side of the planet. They aren’t our problem. Our problem is controlling our own politicians who either want to overthrow Iran or subsidize them. The rest of the world will get along fine without the USA sticking it’s fingers into everyone else’s pies. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow but the world does not belong to us.

Final note: All those people you know were lying to you for the past 40 years about everything imaginable are STILL lying to you. Why do you decide to believe them this time?

      • James Lewis says:

        You’re right. I meant Iran.

I was referring to using the military as police, not to fight wars. But I think you knew that.

        They aren’t our problem.

Really? They are funding and supplying attacks by the Muslim terror groups against the only Allie we have in the ME. Plus they have vowed to destroy us and are getting close to having nukes and ICBM delivery packages.

I am 86. I am a child of a hot war and a cold war. I see the slippery slope. But I also see the graves of friends who were destroyed.

Wars should be short, focused and fought with all the weapons we have to make sure they are won and short.

  4. Elwood P Dowd says:

President-elect Trump is still campaigning for some reason. You won!

He is not so dumb to attack Gazans, Iran or Qatar with American assets.

Yes. Hamas needs to be destroyed. As does Isis, the Taliban, Houthis etc. Should the US send troops into Afghanistan, Qatar, Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen to root them all out?

We had the War on Terruh in the 2000s into the 2020s and we still have Hamas, Hezbollah, Isis, the Taliban, Boko Haram etc etc. We spend trillions of dollars and thousands of brave American lives.

For decades, some Americans have declared war on Islam. Most Muslims are peaceful, but several fundamentalist sects have evolved that want to enforce their version of Islam on everyone, violently if necessary. Several majority Islamic nations have been largely politically unable to suppress the fundamentalists, some even becoming fundamentalist Islamic states (Iran, Afghanistan). Our Founding Fathers were wise to separate religion from governance. Some majority Islamic nations have modernizeed and liberalized thanks to petrol dollars – Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE etc – but with few democratic ideals.

No, as in Vietnam, we piddled around and got a lot of people killed because we didn’t want to fight a war. The result? Well, Oct 7, 2023 comes to mind. The wasted lives in Iraq flashes across my eyes. Vietnam is a song of sorrow and regret.

Trump is giving Iran fair warning. I believe he means it.

      Most, Muslims are peaceful

The problem is the “peaceful” ones won’t bring the others under control. Leaving us with group of people….

A significant minority (21%) of Muslim Americans say there is a great deal (6%) or a fair amount (15%) of support for extremism in the Muslim American community

Which is why they won’t bring the terrorist under control. They actually don’t have a real problem with what their actions….

Tapper doesn’t get out much. If he did, chances are he’d run into some of the 51% of Muslims living in the U.S. who just this June told Polling Co. they preferred having “the choice of being governed according to Shariah,” or Islamic law. Or the 60% of Muslim-Americans under 30 who told Pew Research they’re more loyal to Islam than America.

Imam Zaid Shakir, co-founder of Zaytuna College in Berkeley, Calif.: “If we put a nationwide infrastructure in place and marshaled our resources, we’d take over this country in a very short time. . . . What a great victory it will be for Islam to have this country in the fold and ranks of the Muslims.”
