Newsome Wants Trump To Not Politicize PRC Wildfires, Visit The Area

Wait, who’s the sitting president right now?

Newsom implores Trump to visit LA fire destruction, not politicize tragedy

Gov. Gavin Newsom invited President-elect Donald Trump to survey the breathtaking damage caused by the Southern California wildfires, appealing to the incoming president to meet with the first responders, firefighters and “Americans” affected by the catastrophe.

“In the spirit of this great country, we must not politicize human tragedy or spread disinformation from the sidelines,” Newsom wrote in a letter to Trump on Friday. “Hundreds of thousands of Americans — displaced from their homes and fearful for the future — deserve to see all of us working in their best interests to ensure a fast recovery and rebuild.”

The Los Angeles fires have killed at least 10 people and destroyed more than 10,000 homes and businesses. They also have dramatically accelerated the feud between the incoming president and the ambitious California Democrat, with Trump ridiculing the governor’s performance, advocating for sweeping policy changes on water and using the blazes to again portray his state as failing.

Interesting, since the minute the fires started (and we’ll surely find out they were either arson or incompetence, but, most likely arson, since the fires were spread pretty far) the Warmists started blaming it on global boiling. This includes politicians and the Credentialed Media. The minute a big shooting happens people like Newsom rush out to politicize it and call for “common sense gun control.”

Maybe Newsom should worry more about the conditions due to government misconduct and foolish policies created, like

Kinda coincidental, eh?

If only someone whose job was to keep those reservoirs filled with water had done that one job.

    Hmmm…

  2. Elwood P Dowd says:

Municipal water systems are generally designed to sustain water loads for much smaller fires than what consumed Pacific Palisades.

A small reservoir was taken offline for maintenance – unfortunately, at the time a catastrophic wildfire started.

Should Ameicans start gearing up for these climate change catastrophes like hurricanes in western North Carolina, Tampa Fl, NOLA and Houston? Massive seawalls? Reinforced structures?

Droughts and wildfires in CA and HA? Flash floods in IA, KY, MO and AR?

We’re likely past the point when we mere humans can slow global warming, so we better prepare.

Of course, Fat Donnie, America’s Mob Boss, sees only the financial and political benefits in these catastrophes. To protect his MAGA legacy, he has taken aim at Governor Newsom, a likely Dem candidate in 2028.

Did you hear that Fat Donnie is now a convicted felon, much like Al Capone, “Fat Tony” Salerno and John Gotti? what a hoot. And what a disgrace for this Great Nation.

Didn’t hear that at all, Rimjob.
      Who said that?

      Bwaha! Lolgfy Loser!

The Lolgfy Loser hadn’t heard that Fat Donnie is now a convicted felon???

Fat Donnie is relying on his personal Judge, Aileen of Florida, kicking the cannon down the road until Jan 20. She has agreed to hide the information from the prosecutors in both the stolen documents case AND the attempt to overturn the election case!!

What truths frighten Fat Donnie? It’s rumored that his motives for stealing the government documents would be revealed.

This is how The Mob operates!! They always had judges on the payroll.

        • drowningpuppies says:

But Rimjob, you said he was a felon much like Al Capone, “Fat Tony” Salerno and John Gotti.

          Where did you hear that?
Or did you just make that up on your own?

      .

Who knows how many homes in the Palisades could have been saved if it had been full? Would you like it if your local fire department was closed?

The major problem is that underbrush catches and then it spreads to the eucalyptus trees, which are very flammable, torch off the palms.. and the sparks spread the fire, etc., etc. the rising flames create an updraft which increases the Santa Anna wind speeds and things get out of control.

Like most things caused by man PREVENTION is the cure.

Newsom lies and the Mayor runs off to Africa…. What a deal.

BTW – NOLA has massive sea walls… but they didn’t keep them up..

      • drowningpuppies says:

May be off here but that apparently insignificant 117 million gallons could’ve been put to good use.

Oh my, how quickly California is turning red.

  4. Professor Hale says:

Headline: Professional politician doesn’t want opponents to “go political”.

Why is it that highlighting the incompetence of Democrats to run states and cities is “going political” and a bad thing? But actually mismanaging those states isn’t bad at all?
