According to The Teach and a source who only uses every Sunday, The Gateway Pudendum: LA Mayor Bass rejects FDNY’s offer to help — despite not having enough firefighters to battle blazes still raging: sources
The New York Post, part of the ‘right credentialed’ media, typed an article claiming the Mayor of LA, Karen Bass, who is Black AND unmarried, rejected an offer from the NYPD to send firefighters to LA, while Governor Newsom welcomed brown Mexican firefighters!
Said the Post, “the apparent refusal still stunned some department observers” and “But the offers apparently fell on deaf ears, as no orders have been issued to send New York City crews out West, sources said” and “A ‘source’ ‘speculated’ that Bass ‘may’ have balked

The Post, credentialed by the right, assumed the refusal since there are no NYPD firefighters in LA!
Mayor Bass’s office said no offer was rebuffed, turned down or refused.
