‘Scream night’: Democrats get shouted down by their own activists over climate change
Democrats are scrambling to find their footing in the second Donald Trump era. But for 30 minutes on Thursday night, they struggled even to get through a party meeting.
The final forum of candidates running to lead the Democratic National Committee was derailed at numerous points by climate protesters — a reminder of the fractures still dividing a party reeling from its losses in November.
More than a dozen protesters, some affiliated with the Sunrise Movement, repeatedly stopped the DNC forum proceedings throughout the first 30 minutes. After five individual interruptions, six more protesters surged toward the stage, attempting to unfurl a banner, before they were forcibly removed.
LOL
The moderators — MSNBC hosts Jen Psaki, Jonathan Capehart and Symone Sanders-Townsend — grew visibly frustrated by the frequent outbursts, even as they readjusted questions to address climate change.
“If anyone else feels the need to disrupt, please stand up and do it right now,” Sanders-Townsend said.
But the protests continued — becoming so distracting that some of the DNC chair candidates vented their annoyance. Jason Paul, a longshot among the eight contenders, accused the protesters of “hijack[ing] the whole evening” and turning “this into scream night at the DNC.”
Democrats are all sorts of happy when their moonbat base disrupts Republicans and companies and stuff, but, aren’t happy when the same wackos come after them.

“I’m 18 years old and I’m scared about what Trump having power means for our democracy and our planet. Millions of people will die if people like Trump keep winning.
To defeat Trump, the Democratic Party needs to loudly and proudly take a stand against billionaires and show voters that Democrats are the only party ready to fight for working people.
That’s how we will win back young voters and working class voters and defeat Trump. We’re asking all the candidates to sign the People, not Billionaires pledge and commit to: (1) revive the Obama-era ban on corporate donations to the DNC and (2) ban SuperPAC spending in Democratic Primaries.
We’ve shown up at forums around the country and we’ve reached out to all the candidates asking them to sign. We’ve tried to get our questions asked.
We’ve tried to ask nicely. Tonight, with just days before the Chair election, I stood up to make sure this question got asked. I appreciate the moderators taking up this question and asking it of the candidates.”
It’s great listening to all these world savvy youts, eh? But, she does have a point: the Dems abandoned the working class. Taking a stand against all the rich folks backing the Democrats won’t make a difference, as the working class knows the Democrats do not care, they just patronize.
Obama-era ban? And here I thought he was getting illegal overseas donations through their fund-raising software that didn’t reject foreigner’s donations as required by law.
Not to mention using ActBlue to disguise massive big money donations as thousands of small ones by people who didn’t know they were donating again and again.
