Sorta Blogless Sunday Pinup

Happy Sunday! Another wonderful day in Returned America. The Sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it’s a good day to not watch the Super Bowl. I have zero interest. I hate the Eagles, and the Chiefs are helped out by the refs and are floppers. This pinup is Bill Randall, with a wee bit of help.

On some NFL news……and why the Chiefs were destined to lose this superbowl.

When you look at the Rosters of the KC Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions. You shake your head in amazement and understand why these teams are so great. Combined with really awesome QB’s they soar against the Rest of the league.

And then there is the Buffalo Bills, a team made up of a bunch of no-name, average, run-of-the-mill NFL semi-stars led by Josh Allen.

A team that traded its only stara or cut them leaving their one star, not named Josh Allen—Von Miller, a DE headed for the Hall of Fame—is preparing to file for social security.

The rosters of these other teams are amazingly gifted, put together under the same constraints that Buffalo must endure. And yet, Buffalo’s 22 players on offense and defense might only perhaps have a couple of them be starters for the four teams mentioned above.

That is why Josh Allen is the MVP, with a 13-3 record under his leadership. I say 13-3 record because he did not even play in the last game of the season because a win meant nothing. In addition, because of the Bills’ prolific scoring, there were four fourth quarters in which he sat on the sidelines watching his backup play in blowout wins.

Josh Allen put up his numbers in essentially 14 games instead of Lamar’s 17. Yet everyone points out that Lamar had a few more TDs than Josh and 400 more yards while playing in 3 more games than Josh did.

The only team to beat the Mahomes-led Chiefs during the regular season all year. 12 games of over 30 points made up for a shitty defense that could not stop even the lowly New England Patriots this year. Yet somehow, they managed two wins in the playoffs and scored 29 points against the Chiefs.

The only problem is that they gave up 32 to the Chiefs. Anyone watching the Bills play this year had no option but to come away with a single fact: Josh Allen, playing with a broken hand he suffered in the first game of this season, was the league’s MVP, and I’m not even a Buffalo fan. I root for the Broncos.

It was also a sign of how the KC Chiefs are signing guys off the street. Andy Reid has had to put bandaids all over the KC offense as his money goes to Mahomes, Travis Kelcie, and the Defensive stars on his team.

It was easy to see why KC was blown out in this game. The Offense looked broken and tired. Kudos to the KC Chiefs for faking us all out for two-plus years. Unfortunately for them, a few teams have caught up to them, and they are up for the challenge—that is, if Harbaugh in Baltimore can figure out how to win a playoff game with his all star roster.
