You might want to check with your Republicun House members. They releaxed their budget and increased defense. Their big cuts were in Medicaid, Ag (nutrition support) and R&D. They’re hoping to cut $1.5 to $2 TRILLION, nearly a 30% cut in spending. The don’t mind hurting the poor or the ivory tower eggheads. In fact they love it.
The compassionate Republicuns are concerned that cuts before 2026 elections could hurt them.
