The biggest problem with energy independence is that the USA primarily uses heavy oil rather than light crude, which we pump more of. Hence, much of the crude we produce is sold on the world market rather than consumed at home.
Because?
The left has been so egregious in their opposition that companies do not want to spend another penny to build more heavy crude refineries that cost billions. They would instead prefer we walk, bicycle, or buy an EV that will eventually burn your house to the ground.
So no matter how much drill baby drill the USA does, it only makes the oil companies richer and will do almost nothing to bring the oil prices down because these companies are not interested in pumping more oil, which will hurt their bottom line.
What we can do, hopefully, is begin the refilling of the Strategic oil reserve since the EU has lost its mind, with Hegseth and Vance telling them they are about as democratic as Russia. These nations have canceled elections, declared elections invalid, and refused to listen to their voters, who are now becoming as angry with their governments as we are in the USA.

What is happening in the EU is Russia has exerted excessive dominance on the population and the thought police are too busy fighting their own immigration problems that the state of the EU is in danger of utter and total collapse.
Meanwhile the USA is being confronted by China which is sweeping through the countries of Central and South America along with a reverse Coup in South Korea and a Japan that is now talking of building NUKES to ward of China. In addition the Phillipines is now welcoming the USA into their nation as China moves on them in the Pacific.
Yet the USA is evil for telling the EU that they must solve their own problems rather than rely on the USA to protect them and fight their battles while they spend all their money on day care, medical and inviting the dregs of the world to move into their countries and change their culture.
The reason the EU is voting for Russia is because these idiot countries have become infested with mainly Muslim activists and criminals who now run the streets while the elites live in their gated communities trying to tell the people how great their country still is.
IN Scotland they declared areas of the nation religious free zones and the people are encouraged to squeal on their neighbors if they think they ARE PRAYING INSIDE THEIR OWN HOMES. WRONG THINK at its worst. Pretty soon the EU will have CCTV in peoples homes and bedrooms.
And we are defending this. As Vance Asked the EU conferees? What are we fighting for and why are we fighting for that? In reference to Ukraine. They were told that Under Obama, 2014, Russia invaded Ukraine and took of lots of territory and Obama and the EU sent them a strongly worded message and MRE’s.
IF……IF the EU had their shit together I am sure the USA would be more helpful in push back on Russia but lets be honest. Ukraine is another Afghanistan or IRAQ and the EU wants the US to fight that war for them too and Trump calls bullshit…..bullshit when he sees it. Especially with China, North Korea, Russia and Iran now forming an alliance that did not exist just 4 years ago.
