Judge Rules People In Charge Of Immigration Can Deport Mahmoud Khalil

Of course, Democrats are going to work hard to make sure this guy who came to the US and immediately started calling for the deaths of Jews and Americans, the destruction of Israel and America, and taking over buildings with violence can stay in the U.S.

Immigration judge rules that Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil can be deported

Columbia University graduate student Mahmoud Khalil can be deported as a national security risk, an immigration judge in Louisiana ruled Friday during a hearing over the legality of kicking the activist who participated in pro-Palestinian demonstrations out of the U.S.

Immigration Judge Jamee E. Comans said at the conclusion of a hearing in Jena that the government’s contention that Khalil’s presence in the United States posed “potentially serious foreign policy consequences” was enough to satisfy requirements for his deportation.

Comans said the government had “established by clear and convincing evidence that he is removable.”

Lawyers for Khalil are expected to appeal. And a federal judge in New Jersey has temporarily barred Khalil’s removal from the country.

Khalil, a legal U.S. resident, was detained by federal immigration agents on March 8 in the lobby of his university-owned apartment, the first arrest under President Donald Trump’s promised crackdown on students who joined campus protests against the war in Gaza.

How is he a legal U.S. resident? He came in on a student visa in 2022 and immediately started protesting and whipping up hatred of Jews. His student visa is over. The US government has no need to keep him on any work visa. They do not have to give him any visa. He is not a legal resident. Threatening to kill Jews, destroy Israel, and destroy America is more than enough to get him booted. He’s a hardcore Hamas supporter, and that’s enough.

On Friday, Justice Department attorneys said in papers filed in federal court in Newark, New Jersey, that Comans would not have the authority to immediately free Khalil.

They said an immigration judge could determine if Khalil is subject to deportation and then conduct a bail hearing afterward if it is found that he is not.

Seriously, why does it take so long to boot out people who are bad for the U.S.?

Glad they are getting him out of here before he clacked-off in a crowd.

“Seriously, why does it take so long to boot out people who are bad for the U.S.?”

Because the people involved either support him and his ideology and drag their feet, or, they are cowards and are afraid of being called racists.

Mr Teach, gaslighting you, typed: How is he a legal U.S. resident? (Yes. Mr Khalil is a Green Card holder – A Green Card, officially called a Permanent Resident Card, grants a person the right to live and work permanently in the United State).

Teach: He came in on a student visa in 2022 and immediately started protesting and whipping up hatred of Jews. (There is NO evidence to support this. There are no criminal charges against Mr Kahlil. Sec of State Marco Rubio has the authority under Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 to deport someone if Rubio concludes have serious negative consequences for U.S. foreign policy).

Teach: His student visa is over. The US government has no need to keep him on any work visa. They do not have to give him any visa. He is not a legal resident. (All untrue. Mr Khalil is a legal permanent resident entitled to live and work in the U.S.)

Teach: Threatening to kill Jews, destroy Israel, and destroy America is more than enough to get him booted. He’s a hardcore Hamas supporter, and that’s enough. (All untrue. Mr Khalil said “As a Palestinian student, I believe that the liberation of the Palestinian people and the Jewish people are intertwined and go hand by hand, and you cannot achieve one without the other.” and “There is, of course, no place for antisemitism. What we are witnessing is anti-Palestinian sentiment that’s taking different forms, and antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism [are] some of these forms.”

The sum total of U.S. charges against Mr Kahlil were “Rubio stating that Khalil’s presence in the U.S. undermines ‘U.S. policy to combat anti-Semitism around the world and in the United States, in addition to efforts to protect Jewish students from harassment and violence in the United States’.”

Assistant Immigration Judge Jamee Comans in Louisiana said she had no authority to question that determination, giving Khalil’s lawyers a deadline of April 23 to file applications to stop his deportation.

Mr Teach’s islamophobia shows. Many, if not most of U.S. conservative christians, continuously are fighting a religious war against non-believers in their ‘god’. They feel the government of the United States should support fundamentalist christianity.

And after the left get their wish, and the West is destroyed, they’ll be shocked, shocked! when they’re the first ones lined up against the wall.

  4. Jl says:

We just want the same deportation system that Martha’s Vineyard had….
    Seen on X

  5. Elwood P. Dowd says:

And as long as Mr Dana obeys the fascists’ every wish and whim, he’ll be safe!! Just don’t criticize your ruler.

Dictatorships never end well for the subjects.

  6. Jl says:

Too funny-Must be the first “fascists” in history that are trying to reduce the size of government.
