A Biden-hater tried to assassinate PA Gov Shapiro and his family. Cody Balmer, 38, a white skinhead with a criminal record, set PA Gov Josh Shapiro’s house on fire. He is facing charges of attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson, and aggravated assault.
Balmer previously faced criminal charges on several occasions including for assault, forgery, and traffic-related offenses. In 2023, Balmer was charged with three counts of simple assault in a case that is ongoing in Dauphin County. In 2016, he pleaded guilty to one felony count of forgery and was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
Shapiro is Jewish. It was alleged that Balmer was angry with Shapiro after the state of Pennsylvania auctioned off Balmer’s property.
