I wonder how upset it will make the liberals (who live nowhere near the Venezuelan gang members)?
DOJ Files First-Ever RICO Charges Against 27 Tren de Aragua Gang Members
The Department of Justice filed multiple federal charges against 27 members of the hyperviolent Tren de Aragua Venezuelan gang on Monday. The charges include Racketeering, Narcotics and Sex Trafficking, Robbery, and Firearms offenses. DOJ officials say this marks the first time RICO charges have been filed against Tren de Aragua gang members.
On Monday, DOJ officials unsealed indictments against 27 current or former members of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang. Officials report that 21 of the 27 indicted gang members are currently in federal custody.
“As alleged, Tren de Aragua is not just a street gang – it is a highly structured terrorist organization that has destroyed American families with brutal violence, engaged in human trafficking, and spread deadly drugs through our communities,” U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a written statement. “Today’s indictments and arrests span three states and will devastate TdA’s infrastructure as we work to completely dismantle and purge this organization from our country.”
The indictments include charges against six current TdA gang members and 21 former members who are now part of an “Anti-Tren” gang that splintered off from TdA.

Which means the US taxpayers have to support these people mostly brought in by the Biden-Harris regime, when, if Democrats could have just shut the hell up, they could have been deported. But, hey, maybe the Trump admin could build a jail for them in the center of a sanctuary city, like Boston or Denver.
Speaking of RICO

If Merrick Garland and Joe Biden had gone after the violent illegal immigrants in 2022, 2023, and 2024, mightn’t the American people have seen that and been happier with the non-violent immigration population? It’s not as though Tren de Aragua members just entered the US on January 20th; they’ve been here for years.
But no, Messrs Biden and Garland preferred to go after the non-violent Capitol kerfufflers, who killed no one, who were unarmed, and most of whom were allowed to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor charge, proving how unserious their “crimes” were.
And, of course, the Democratic base cheered this on, proving how utterly stupid they are. The Democrats benefitted from public discomfort of the first Trump Administration, and COVID, of course, and just blew their chances with their own stupidity and ignorance.
I agree that Catholic charities along with many other NGOs were profiting hugely and enabling the flow of human trafficking into the USA on behalf of criminal gangs and for criminal purposes. But I disagree that RICO applies for one very specific reason: The other co-conspirators were the US government itself funding the whole operation, and knowing it was being used this way. In that, Catholic charities was no different that all the other NGOs who were milking the US taxpayer to funds their activities and staff, doing things they were going to do anyway. For other NGOs it was the whole point of the Gravy train was the gravy. Catholic charities got on the train because they were already going that direction anyway and took the free ride. It isn’t illegal to accept a contract or grant from the US government to perform activities that lawful agents in the government intend. In regards to Immigration, Catholic Charities were acting as agents of the US Government.
