So the AP flat out made up the line about people booing when President Bush talked about President Clinton being on “our thoughts and prayers.” If it was real, why did the sentence disappear from the news blurb? From WRAL: The Associated Press originally reported that the mention of Clinton’s name brought boos from the crowd, but the AP retracted the report citing uncertainties about how to characterize the crowd’s reaction.
