I thought I would be able to get away with a non serious day. Guess not, thanks to the asshats at Useless News and World Report

A classified radiation monitoring program, conducted without warrants, has targeted private U.S. property in an effort to prevent an al-Qaida attack, federal law enforcement officials confirmed Friday.

While declining to provide details including the number of cities and sites monitored, the officials said the air monitoring took place since the Sept. 11 attacks and from publicly accessible areas — which they said made warrants and court orders unnecessary.

U.S. News and World Report first reported the program on Friday. The magazine said the monitoring was conducted at more than 100 Muslim sites in the Washington, D.C. area — including Maryland and Virginia suburbs — and at least five other cities when threat levels had risen: Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, New York and Seattle.

This is just more confirmation that the Exempt Media is interested more in a story and hurting the Bush admin then in protecting the lives of US citizens. Who do they think attacked the USA on 9/11? Who do they think has been attacking the USA for much longer? It’s not Grandma and her Baptist church group.

Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington-based civil rights group, said Friday the program "comes as a complete shock to us and everyone in the Muslim community."

"This creates the appearance that Muslims are targeted simply for being Muslims. I don’t think this is the message the government wants to send at this time," he said.

CAIR has yet to denounce the attacks on the US, the beheadings, nor the behavior of people that have hijacked their religion. It has been Muslims who have been preforming the hideous acts. And they are targetted for simply being Muslim. Mr. Hooper apparently hasn’t been paying attention to reality.

And, I’m not sure why it would be a shock. Muslims use Muslim sites, particularely Mosques, to recruit other Muslims to be part of their radical agenda of terror.

So, once again, thanks USN&WR for screwing up another classified operation designed to, guess what? Protect your own asses as well as the rest of the American population. This ones for you, USN&WR:

How is it possible that we can have a Special Prosecutor throwing reporters in jail, spending millions of dollars investigating the phony ‘outing’ of Plame and at the same time be watching the Republicans sitting on their thumbs and rotating when the NY Times and WaPost dump our national secrets across the front pages of their paper?

Frankly I’m not surprised at the Democrats. My expectations of the Republicans however were a little higher.
