Juan Williams provides a bit of an expose on Michelle Bachmann, but, really, once again we see the GOP intelligentsia on display
If Capitol Hill is really one big high school, the “It†girl of the moment is Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). (snip)
If Bachmann plays her cards right and begins to pick her battles more strategically, she could have considerable leverage on the Hill. However, the business of being a serious legislator and political power broker is not always fun. It certainly cannot be as fun as going on television every night, flirting with a run for president and being talked about as the leader of a radical political movement.
But Bachmann is also dancing on the razor’s edge of becoming marginalized as someone who is not serious — a self-serving celebrity, in high school lingo a “Mean Girl.â€
In between, Juan has some interesting analysis, from a squishy Republican point of view. Which is why we need people like Michelle Bachmann, who hold true Conservative values of government. The squishes, who seem to have more in common with Blue Dogs, are keeping the GOP from reigning in the size and scope of government, as well as the absurd spending from government. This is what the 2010 midterms were all about, Juan!
But, nice job with the sexism, Juan.
What do you expect from a democrat? None of them have ever had sex with a woman with less body hair than they have. I started college in 1971, I know these things.
Rep. Michele Bachmann needs to team up with Rep. Mark Pence and launch a coup against Bonehead and the rest of the McClellan Republican leadership.
