You’d think that, one day, the Left would figure out that we know exactly who scares the watermelon juice out of them by how much they attack that person/group. Conversely, we know who doesn’t scare them, because they say “that guy scares us!” (see John Huntsman). Michele Bachmann is on the top of the hit-list at the moment, which Chicago Pride going with Is anti-gay candidate Michele Bachmann married to a gay man?
Is Marcus Bachmann, husband of Republican presidential candidate and Rep. Michele Bachmann, a closeted gay man? That’s the question that’s lighting the internet on fire this weekend.
Well, maybe in the insane-o-sphere, but, most of us on the Right have been celebrating the Declaration of Independence (kinda strange how the USA doesn’t celebrate Treaty of Paris, which was signed on September 3, 1783, ending the Revolutionary War. Or January 14, 1784, when the Congress of Confederation signed the Treaty. A thought for a different day.)
Dr. Bachmann runs his own “Christian Counseling” practice in Minnesota, and one of his specialties is “helping” people “overcome” homosexuality.
But many online pundits are pointing out that those who speak the most vociferously against homosexuality are often hiding something.
Of course! They’ve found us out! Everyone on the Right is gay! We’re either lesbians trapped in a man’s body or homosexuals trapped in a woman’s body.
ThinkProgress found a clip of Dr. Bachmann talking about homosexuality:
And there you go: George Soros funded Think Progress is pushing the smear. Shocker.
Anyhow, they push the meme like being gay is a bad thing. Interesting how they always seem to use this smear (along with “you’re a raaaaacist”)
BDS2 – Bachmann Derangement Syndrome. #2 because Bush will always be the first who pushed the left to complete unhinged behavior.
Crossed at Right Wing News and Stop The ACLU.
It IS kinda funny how they push the gay agenda, and then turn around and use that same agenda against their enemies. Just like they use The Constitution – only when it is to their advantage.
To continue with the digression about celebrating the Fourth, as opposed to some other date, another candidate would be June 21st, 1788, when New Hampshire became the 9th state to ratify the Constitution, thus putting it into effect.
I suppose one way to look at it would be that July 4th represents the birth of the idea of free America, while the 1783 and 1784 dates commemorate when that idea became fact, and 1788 when it took its “adult form.”
As for Bachmann, it’s as Limbaugh has said, they let us know whom they truly fear by whom they attack. Same with Palin. I sure don’t hear them going after Romney.

ummmmm… what? Why would we celebrate teh Treaty of Paris when we aren’t in paris. I don’t get it.
wait…. are they trying to be…. IRONIC with their story on a gay Mr Bachman!?
Well, since we are coming out here: I must confess that I am a lesbian. I like women. I can’t help myself. I just do. I always have. I think I was born this way.
A recent nuerological study found that the brains of conservatives are quicker to jump to an emotional responce to adversity while the the brains of liberals had a more common sense approach to solving the problem. When we look at examples we see this is true. IE the response to the mosque in New York, the response to a black man becoming president, the response to gay marriage… stc, etc. I am seeing the same on most blog sites like this one where name calling or 3rd grade tactics like “Obama should know if he is gay because it takes one to know one” become the conservative weapon of choice. This may be because they have no logical response available or it is just easier to respond emotionally. The bottom line is that it does not matter wheather Dr. Bachmann is gay or not. It is the Hypocrisy of many conservatives bashing gays while they themselves are closeted homosexuals. His far right rhetoric will surely launch an indepth search for any and all evidence of hypocrisy. My belief is they will discover that in fact he is gay and it will hurt Michelle’s chances because of her stance on the issue.
Thanks for posting the link to that great scientific study Mike. And I do appreciate your insights in to this delicate matter. However, please show in the above comments or in the post where it was said, “Obama should know if he is gay because it takes one to know oneâ€.
Because I let my emotions do the walking and I could not find that anywhere in this post. And, I also do not find it anywhere in this post’s link besides you, and now myself thanks, where someone mentions Obama.
Are you trying to start a nasty emotional-based rumor here sir?
I must say that this attack sure seems emotionally pre-pubescent of you.
