Man, what I wouldn’t give to be Harold Ford’s shrink. The inside of his brain must look like Saigon in the last days of the war (“We shall overcome! / Shut up, nigger. / Who you calling nigger? / Did I say, “nigger.” I meant, “Fred.”).
There must be something about being a black Democrats that drives you a little batty. Just look at Ford’s comrades in arms Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I mean, who in their right mind is proud of starting a riot that killed people, or being a hypocrite and fathering children out of wedlock?
Many black Democrats, it seems, stake out ultra-left-wing positions perhaps to prove their bona fides to their white superiors. Harold Ford, who feels that he isn’t good enough to succeed without “affirmative action.” Or how about the wonderful Louis Farrakhan, anti semitic, anti white. Is he out to prove that he is more racist then the entire history of the Democratic Party?
I’ve got it. Maybe black Democrats are like transvestites? Transvestites affect a hyper-femininity, their nails are always perfect, their bags always match their shoes. In the same way, many black Democrats, it seems, affect a “hyper-whiteness,” staking out positions that even whites in the South grew out of in the Fifties.

Well, other then a few changed words and a couple sentences, it isn’t mine. Matter of fact, it is by Trey Ellis, at the Huffington Post (hat tip Michelle Malkin). Whether or not Trey is Black or not, he has no excuse for that kind of blindly racist and offense writing. For someone who doesn’t want to be a part of the whole “blacks as victims” cause, he sure pushes that one any Black Conservatives.
But, Trey’s screed was just another case of the liberal “do as I say, not as I do” attitude, as well as arguing by invective.
BTW, I know next to nothing about Harold Ford. I picked his name out of the hat with the whole “Fancy Ford” thang. But, I do believe that Sharpton, Jackson, and Farrakhan are racists, and undercut Blacks and race relations with their demagoguery.
Hmm, Trey Ellis on a rant. Good snarky writing. As a black person, its hard for him to be labeled a racist for talking about his own people.
He’s a bit much for me, since I’m more left of center than left of left… but entertaining.
C’mon. I’m Jewish and I tell terrible Jewish jokes. I have heard that labeled “self hating” “anti-semitic” but in this day and age, no one else is allowed to tell them. So we do.
You, as a white person, wouldn’t want to write what Trey Ellis did. But he can. Is it “OK”? I don’t know. Is it “OK” that I tell Jewish jokes?
Well, what I saw here was Trey only going after Black Republicans in a disgusting way. I believe that, even though he is black, the attack was out of bounds, and does more harm to race relations then helps.
PS: I tell jokes about everyone, black, white, jewish (my Mom and her parents are jewish), all religions, blonds (I am one), you name it, I’ll tell it. Though, they tend to be not cruel ones.
