Well, really, what else does Team Obama have to hang their hat on?
(USA Today) A year after authorizing the mission that killed Osama bin Laden, President Obama and his election team are making it an election issue.
The Obama election team has a new ad in which former president Bill Clinton talks about the risks Obama took in ordering the mission that took place on May 2 of last year.
The ad also asks: “What path would Mitt Romney have taken?”
Disgraceful. Speculating that Romney would not have ordered the raid. Not sure how this will play with Liberals, since many were aghast over this targeted assassination without due process. I doubt Independents and Moderates will approve of this over the top ad, as well. Over at The Hill, Obama is being ripped for this. Best comment
WOW….(an UNNAMED source) from the Obama campaign speculates on what Mitt Romney would do……if that’s not a reach to make news I don’t know what is. Why not attach a name to the article?
How about Obama running on his record? Nah, too dangerous right?
Perhaps Romney should go with the “Romney isn’t a warmonger” theme.

This is so wrong on many levels. Obama is a hero because he made a decision. That decision would not have meant the end of his life or injury to his person. The only consequence to him personally would have been to reduce his popularity. That is the US today??
Then we have the glorification of killing a man. The man may have needed killing. But to glorify the event?
The more I see and hear of this president and what the US has become, the more I think it is time for real change. Not the voting kind.
Since Teach linked to our article on this in his “Sorta Blogless Sunday” post, it seems appropriate to cite the article again.
Given what we know now about the operation to get bin Laden, there is more than enough evidence to show that the result of the raid happened in spite of, and not because of, Obama.
(There is even evidence the operation was underway before Obama gave his approval. It appears he may have been politically maneuvered into the belatedly approving the operation rather than being a leader and approving it up front.)
There are five or so memes Obama supporters are pushing and “he got bin Laden” is one of them.
We should be happy to engage those supporters with the facts, rather than the lies being spread by the Obama campaign.
Romney needs to come out with the campaign… “Obama REFUSED to increase oil supplies or decrease the price of gas for unwed mothers and elderly disabled veterans. I as President will make accessing our petro-resources a first concern after I am sworn in.”
“Obama vetoed the creation of jobs and reducing the price of gas. What would Romney do? Romney will vote for jobs and elimination of drilling and mining bans.”
Come on Romney team,, get out in front of this.
