Gotta love how the White House, which puts out enormous amounts of CO2 in ferrying the Obama’s around to campaign events, the golf course, taxpayer subsidized vacations, etc. says this
(UPI) A 10-year research plan outlined by the White House will focus on how human economic activity influences climate change, the administration said.
The White House said it formalized a 10-year strategic plan for the U.S. Global Change Research Program. The plan will focus on the relationship between human economic activity and global climate change.
“Human actions are altering the atmosphere, the land and our oceans, placing new pressures on the Earth’s ecosystems and threatening the health and economic welfare of our Nation and the world,” Tom Armstrong, executive director of the USGCRP, said in a statement.
The study was done by “100 Federal scientists”….think there were any who disagreed on the panel? Oh, and unshockingly, here are their 4 action items (from the link in the excerpt)
- Goal 1 – Advance Science
- Goal 2 – Inform Decisions
- Goal 3 – Conduct Sustained Assessments
- Goal 4 – Communicate and Educate
Notice that all of them require lots of taxpayer funding, and none recommend that Warmists take action within their own lives.
“High-quality and well-coordinated research is essential if we are to better understand and predict future changes, develop strategies to minimize our vulnerabilities, and adapt to changes that can’t be avoided,” said Armstrong.
So far, all their research and computer models have been failures. But, if only we could just throw more money at it. As Tom Nelson points out “If the science is so settled, why do we need another taxpayer-funded 10-year AGW study?” I’d also like to know why the public has to pay $35 in order to read the 72 page review that was already funded by the taxpayer.
