The Quiet Racism of Abortion Bans
Like prohibitions on other goods and services, an abortion ban of the kind national conservatives propose would take a disproportionate toll on those least equipped to adapt, and would advance little but ideology.
As national Republicans in Tampa consider adding have added a ban on abortions as an official plank in their party platform — a proposal whose draft language is so severe, it doesn’t make exceptions for cases of rape or incest — liberal commentators have grown accustomed to speaking of the right’s strict stance on reproductive issues as a war on women. But it might be more accurate to say that it’s really an attack on women of a specific stripe: those from disadvantaged minorities and the poor.
Except, the position does make exceptions for rape and incest. But, hey, Brian (who’ll never have to get an abortion himself) has a narrative! Here’s his conclusion

Right. You caught us, Brian. That’s exactly what the GOP is attempting to do, to make sure there are more Black, Latino, and other minority children not being aborted so that the country will have more Black, Latino, and other minorities because we hate Blacks, Latinos, and other minorities. I find myself rubbing my forehead after writing that, considering what Liberals feel are their deep policy positions.
If anything, pushing for more abortion on demand is racist. Consider that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger was an avowed racist pushing eugenics to reduce the population of Blacks, other minorities, and “defectives.” She spoke in front of the KKK.
Abortion is also a sexist position of the Democrat Party, as they see to think that this is the main concern of women.
I will never be able to understand why the liberals are so fixated on making sure women can kill their unborn children, just because they decide they no longer want the pregnancy, or the resulting child. They claim we are heartless if we say ban abortions, with no exceptions, but the truth is something else entirely. The vast majority of abortions that are performed in this country are elective. They are not performed because the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest. They are performed because the woman decided she no longer wanted to be pregnant. What the liberals are really after is unlimited access to abortion, for whatever reason the women cares to give. That is a sad commentary on our society.

Phineas. They know the history. They just choose to ignore it and like Teach says, just chooses to promote a narrative. no matter how stupid, idiotic, ignorant and bigoted it makes him look. It’s a narrative that must be defended.
While the sentiment to ban all abortions is commendable, it is not really doable.
However, let’s think about this for a bit. Many people defend the exception of rape. I was\is one of them. But think about this. If a woman is raped, they then go to the police where evidence is gathered. And, I believe, as part of the rape kit, there is an abortifactant available, right? So, having to have an abortion later while the baby is formed seems to be misleading. Why carry a baby for several months following a rape, if you are now going to claim that you absolutely can not carry this baby for the rest of the term because of the rape?
I would also suggest that we end the laws against paying women for their unwanted babies. This will help to promote keeping babies to full term if they legally know that they will be compensated. There are still many families who are very desperate for babies.
It’s always amazing (and incredibly common) to meet people who have no idea about the Sanger/Hitler/KKK/”human weeds”/eugenics background of Planned Parenthood. When I converse with them, they push the “reasonable” nature of abortion. “We need it for all sorts of reasons.” They talk about “population control” and how “if we’re going to only have so many babies in our controlled utopia, we should make sure they’re all the best offspring.”
They’re not listening to their own words. I tell them, “That’s eugenics; that’s Hitler. And oddly enough, that’s the birth of Planned Parenthood.”
They seem a little shocked to find out where their thinking has taken them. I inform them, “Every tyranny, every ethnic cleansing, every slaughter of millions arises out of ‘a perfectly reasonable’ idea.”

Are you talking about the average person, or people in the media and certain leaders?
I can see that about average people. History is not taught any more in our socialist public-non-schools. However, those in the media and those in positions, at least from what I have determined, know the truth. But refuse to let that truth be known to the commoners.

Teenagers. They all want to be atheists “guided by reason instead of ancient superstition.” It makes them feel so sophisticated. Atheism is very hip. And all I have to do is chat with them for a bit and they will invariably spin a yarn that leads to some psychotic tyranny.
I was talking to an 18-year-old yesterday who was laughing about how he saw people being interviewed at the RNC and they said “America’s great because it’s the land of the liberty,” but when asked about abortion they said it should be illegal. “What hypocrites!” he chuckled, and claimed there’s no way you can have a free country if abortion is illegal. We chatted for a bit and he went on about population control; how everyone needs to be sterilized and then un-sterilized if they plan on reproducing. I said, “This conversation started because you were laughing at someone else’s limited concept of liberty. Here we are less than five minutes down the road and you’ve managed to demand forced sterilization for the entire populace.”
To his credit, he laughed and saw the stupidity of his stance.
There may be hope yet then.
