Don’t forget: this is all about some stupid film released months ago, and not about the US. Or the spread of extremist Islam
(Fox News) Hundreds of protesters demonstrating against an anti-Islam film torched a press club and a government building in northwest Pakistan on Monday, sparking clashes with police that left at least one person dead. Demonstrations also turned violent outside a U.S. military base in Afghanistan and the U.S. Embassy in Indonesia.
In Afghanistan, hundreds of people burned cars and threw rocks at a U.S. military base in the capital, Kabul. Many in the crowd shouted “Death to America!” and “Death to those people who have made a film and insulted our prophet.”
Later in the day, protests broke out in other areas of Kabul, including the main thoroughfare into the city, where demonstrators burned shipping containers and tires. The crowd torched at least one police vehicle before finally dispersing, according Daoud Amin, the deputy police chief for Kabul province.
At a separate protest in front of a mosque in southwest Kabul, several dozen people shouted anti-U.S. slogans and called for President Barack Obama to bring those who have insulted the prophet to justice.
In Jakarta, hundreds of Indonesians angered over the film clashed with police outside the U.S. Embassy, hurling rocks and firebombs and setting tires alight outside the mission, marking the first violence seen in the world’s most populous Muslim country since international outrage over the film exploded last wee
Demonstrators burned a picture of President Barack Obama and also tried to ignite a fire truck parked outside the embassy after ripping a water hose off the vehicle and torching it, sending plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. Police used a bullhorn to appeal for calm and deployed water cannons and tear gas to try to disperse the crowd as the protesters shouted “Allah Akbar,” or God is great.
“We will destroy America like this flag!” a protester screamed while burning a U.S. flag. “We will chase away the American ambassador from the country!”
And in Lahore
The rally was addressed by Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, THR head Ameer Hamza, JD leader Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, Pakistan Muslim League (Zia) head Ijazul Haq, Jamaat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) leader Asim Makhdoom and Jamaat Ahle Hadith ameer Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Ropari.
Hafiz Saeed alleged that the film, Innocence of Muslims, had been produced with the backing of US establishment. He said the director, the producer and all those involved in the production and release of the movie must be hanged publicly. “The US must make a law against blasphemy – or we will not let the US consulates in Pakistan function,†he said.
Jamatud Dawa (usually known as Jamaat Ud Dawa) is the political arm of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (Army of the Righteous), an Islamist group in Pakistan that has been pushing for an Islamic state in Southeast Asia since it’s founding in 1990. Saeed is one of the founders. The group has attacked civilian targets often, especially in India, which include the 2001 Indian Parliament and 2008 Mumbai attacks. Lashkar-e-Taiba is designated a terrorist group by the US, Britain, India, Pakistan, and many other countries.
He said a resolution condemning the movie in the parliament was not enough. Instead, President Asif Ali Zardari must announce jihad against countries like the US that supported attacks on Islam. The Organisation of Islamic Countries Conference should announce a boycott of US goods. Ijazul Haq, the PML-Z chief, said the people had shown their loyalty to Islam. He said the government leader’s silence was shameful. He said no one had dared commit blasphemy during his father Ziaul Haq’s rule.
Lest you think this is isolated, how about
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono urged the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Monday to issue edicts against religious defamation in the wake of global protests ignited by a film insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
“I call on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the UN to mull over international protocol to prevent such things like this from happening again,†Yudhoyono said, referring to the anti-Islam film “The Innocence of Muslims.â€
That would be the president of Indonesia. And Islamists in Iran are saying Obama can be sued over the movie thanks to UN covenants.

and now, there are reports that Obama will hand over the terrorist bomber The Blind Sheik to Egypt.
If true, this is the height of appeasement and placation. And, a complete sell-out of America.
Oh, and by the way… was the supposed maker of this supposed film supposedly working for the feds as a snitch? Does that then mean that this administration’s pleas to the Islamics of the world that they were not responsible.. not true?
