UN Says To Iran: Stop, Or We’ll Say Stop Again

Gee, do you think Iran is going to listen?

The U.N. Security Council passed a weakened resolution Monday giving Iran until Aug. 31 to suspend uranium enrichment or face the threat of economic and diplomatic sanctions.

Because of Russian and Chinese demands, the text is weaker than earlier drafts, which would have made the threat of sanctions immediate. The draft now essentially requires the council to hold more discussions before it considers sanctions.

The draft passed by a vote of 14-1. Qatar, which represents Arab states on the council, cast the lone dissenting vote.

Yeah, that should make Iran tremble and shiver. Heck, they didn't respond to bribes, why should threats faze them?

Tehran said last week it would reply to the Western incentive bribe and appeasement package on Aug. 22, but the council decided to go ahead with a resolution and not wait for Iran's response.

Can we pull out of the UN and kick them off the continent, now?

Hey, look, the Surrender Monkey is making an appearence on the UN's behalf

Can I get a big Amen. You hit it right on. I vote we send Iran some real incentive, something around 100 megaton. I am sickened by the lax attitude of the world toward these militant terrorist regimes.
