So, over the past 16 years the world’s temperature has essentially flatlined. What about the last 2?
(GWPF) The most recent global temperature record, released this week, shows the average global temperature fell last year for the second year. There is now general agreement that the rising trend has stalled. This is the background against which governments will meet in Doha to negotiate a globally binding agreement to cut carbon emissions, as agreed at last year’s meeting in Cape Town, South Africa. –Graham Lloyd, The Australian, 24 November 2012

Weird. CO2 keeps going up yet temps aren’t. It’s almost like there’s a natural pattern in play.
It’s almost as if we don’t really have a handle on what causes temperature fluctuations.
It’s almost as if the CAGW’ers refuse to be realists and accept what has been happening over the last 16 years. It’s actually been getting colder? hmmm.. weird.
Wait.. something funny. Winter of 2007 to Spring 2008 had the lowest temp in the 17 years? and summer of 2008 was lower than early 2000’s? Yet we were constantly told that 2008 was HOTTEST on record??

Oh that, I just gave her some tylenol.
Once again, I was watching a show on how the universe was made, and was astounded at the awesome power that this old gal (gaia) has. She can heal from events like the catastrophic volcanic action in Siberia. The Siberian Traps were the largest volcanic eruption in Earth history and they occured right at the same time as the largest extinction event in Earth history. The whole process took over a million years, and may have been the reason that life as we know it, was formed.
But hey, quit driving your SUV and heating your house, because we are vain enough to think we can alter what nature does.

It is getting harder and harder for the mental midgets who come by your site, to avoid Reality. The Earth is COOLING and they can’t do a damned thing to prove otherwise.
Well Gummie please cite your sources for that “they said” NOAA says that 2010 was tied as the hottest year on record for the planet. This year looks like it will come in at #8 on the list of the last 100+ years. You can easily check by going to their web site. And Kevin when you say the Earth is cooling over what period of time ? Since 2010 which was tied for being the hottest year on record, or do you mean like today was cooler than yesterday? Even Rasmussen, a GOP poller, shows that now 2 out of 3 Americans believe that global warming is a serious problem. Only 12% said that it was not a serious problem. Getting lonely over in that corner I think. The coldists were so disapointed when Sandy hit, it sort of shattered their whole reality.
Yes John, we “coldists” were shocked, appalled I tell you, that a hurricane formed and hit the East Coast of North America. It was unprecedented. What will the earth do next? Have snowfall this winter? Spring rainstorms next year? I am picking up the pieces of my shattered reality now, hoping to understand why the climate is changing…seasonally.
There ya go. There’s the troll we’ve come to know. Being funny again. Nice to know you are holding to your own standards as well. Way to be a beacon in the darkness of misinformation and no-links.
I was shocked that a hurricane grew in the tropics and then followed a traditional pathway up the east coast and then morphed in to a N’oreaster at which point it turned inward toward the coast (as they do) and then became a strong tropical storm as it made landfall.
I am still shocked that people who would build their houses below storm-level sea level and on beach sand are shocked themselves that their homes and roads would be torn up when a storm hits. I’m even more shocked that they want us to pick up 100% of the tab for their willfully blind construction free-for-all.
I am shocked at the ignorance of what can happen when you build a REGULAR house on sand at seaside…!! In areas known for high wind and hurricanes. Want a link for that too?
I am SHOCKED that you are shocked, these are not new houses most have been there for decades Sandy was a HUGE storm were you also shocked when Teach said before it hit that Sandy was overhyped? and maybe not even a hurricaine when it landed? Here in New York City it was the biggest storm surge ever recorded in the Wall Street area 14 feet above normal high water. Yeah I was shocked, that was the highest. Period. Those buildings had been there a loooong time and are not on sand. Manhattan has bedrock of granite. Are you shocked at Wall Street being built there? The GOP is going to be dragged kicking and crying into the 21st century. Only 1 in 8 Americans believe that global warming is not a serious problem. Teach are YOU shocked that people built on the NJ shore ?
Where oh where does this clown find his statistics? Skeptics of human-caused (anthropogenic) global warming don’t dismiss global warming outright, they just don’t believe that human activity is responsible. When asked if gloabal warming was a concern,

First, try to use punctuation. And by the way, try to answer some questions if you are going to throw some of your own. And, remember, provide links.
Yes, it was. In extent. Not in strength. It was a Cat1 storm before it hit mainland. It then turned in to a N’oreaster extra tropical storm. Meaning, it was a strong tropical storm that turned in to N’oreaster that is typical for spring, but as there was a strong cold front pushing through, it turned the storm form a warm-loving hurricane into a cold-loving N’oreaster. And,.. yes, it does happen.
As a storm to end all storms? As the greatest storm of all time? YES it was overhyped. Did people pay attention to the warnings about evacuations and possible storm damage? NO.
Got proof? Or are you still hyping pre-storm propaganda?
So? Many houses along the coasts have been. And yes, the coast line is almost entirely sand. That is why they are called shorelines and beaches. WOW, you are thick.
So what? We were not talking about New York City.
Thanks for validating my previous points.
Now, go back to sleep in your mom’s basement.
