That’s what people attempt to do every day at one spot on my drive home from work. I love forcing these people to miss getting on the 440 Beltline at that spot.

Yeah it’s amusing when you are approaching the turnoff and you see them in your mirror trolling for a spot, and you slow a bit to offer an opening, appearing as if you aren’t paying attention, then as they commit to shooting for your spot you speed up a little and close the window and it’s too late for them to find another. They either have to bite it and miss the turn, or do something highly illegal.
A my main turnoff it was also common for people to go down the shoulder and pass the line on the right. The line could go for 1/2 a mile on a bad night and it was a big time saver for the annointed who can not wait. It was easy to stop that by moving halfway over onto the shoulder.
Makes me sorta nostalgic for those commuting days. Not.
Every time one of these jackasses cuts in they force everyone else to slam on their brakes. I hate them.
OK, OK, I’ll admit it: I have done this, deliberately, many times, especially trying to get into the Midtown Tunnel from Norfolk to Portsmouth. Traffic would be absolutely stopped, and I’d just force my way in.
Always interesting to see what gives other people pleasure in life.
