  7. Amityville Horror (original)
  8. The Evil Dead (the original, not the campy one)
  9. Friday The 13th
  10. The Tingler

Honorable mention: The Invisible Man, Poltergiest, The Black Cat, Murders in the Rou Morgue, Red Masque of Death, The Wolf Man (original), The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Premature Burial, anything that has Boris Karloff, Lon Cheney, Jr, Bela Lugosi, and/or Claude Rains.

Also, this is a movie that is guaranteed to scare the crap out of you, but it is more of a November movie

    Shouldn’t that have a warning on it?

    I have trouble watching the hack ’em up movies, but I like scary movies. Can’t come up with a favorite at the moment! Rosemary’s Baby was good. Would Marathon Man qualify? The scene where he’s digging into Dustin’s cavity was scary to me!
