Initially, when I ran across this article at Memeorandum and started reading it, it seemed to be a typical Politico portrait of just how super-awesome Obama is
And what’s right with President Obama?
Barack Obama is a man of different talents, instincts and interests than Clinton. But now that Washington is in pile-on mode — including us — it’s not a bad time to remember that there are some reasons why he is among the most talented politicians of his generation.
Recent bad headlines have not diluted his enduring personal and political assets, and, so long as he occupies the White House, there is no other person with more power to set the national agenda.
In that spirit, here’s a roster of what’s still right with Obama:
- His personality (strange, because he’s been called cold and aloof by the people who know him, though we have to admit it he can really turn it on out on the campaign trail)
- His normality (it’s apparently normal to take expensive vacations to fancy shmancy places while Americans suffer)
- His enemies (he likes to create them. A lot of them)
- His party (a bunch of raving nutjobs who’ve made abortion their primary political stance)
- His luck (well, I’ll admit the guy has quite a bit of this)
In thinking about this, though, notice what is left out: anything relating to an ability to be the Chief Executive. Nothing about competence, a serviceable background, financial savvy, honor, realism, ability to work with and play well with others, no leadership or management skill, doesn’t understand when to stop. If you look at any list of what makes a great business leader, particularly a CEO, Obama barely has any of those qualities or others for a person at the top. And he sure hasn’t learned anything in his 4+ years.
Crossed at Right Wing News and Stop The ACLU.
He’s cool. He is a superb campaigner. He’s cool. He’s half black.
Not one of them can tell us a quality that we should or could be impressed with.
He is a whining self righteous leftist who pouts when he doesn’t get his way and won’t accept fault for one single thing that has gone wrong since taking office because he has allowed the 12 year olds in his administration to run the country into the ground. He stinks, and these morons just light up more incense and cover their ears pretending they can’t hear the facts. And I mean the things we think he’s done right (few as they are) like keeping Gitmo open and allowing drone strikes.
But there’s no point. There is a horrible divide in the country, unlikely to ever heal, and spawned almost entirely by the most divisive president we’ve ever seen.
You do know that article was one of two parts, right? Here’s the other part:

Sorry to interrupt your two minute hate. Carry on.
Ummmm.. what’s your point Ian?
I sure pray to god that this was a sarcastic piece. Otherwise, the author will need to use toilet paper to clean his mouth off. But, I think not.
From article:
Probably because he himself if not normal and suffers from all sorts of neurosis, among which is a massive huge ego. And, he is incapable of doing anything FOR America.
Get over it Ian, the media has been over protective of this piece of dung for 6-7 years, and no one calls him out on one single thing he’s done wrong- with the exception of OPINION shows on Fox News Channel.
One 2 minute rant wouldn’t even come close to assaugung the pain we’ve had to experience at the hands of a corrupt media and a clueless left wing who have never once taken him to task, (little crappy protests don’t count) and it was because of you all we had to suffer a re-election of the worst do/know nothing president we now have to suffer through.
Obamma’s only claim to fame is his fanning the dying racist fires back into a raging inferno and even some of the blacks I have talked to (and certainly the Hispanics) are darn tired of the race card being used to deflect attention from more important things.
Never forget that the BANKERS OWN the MSM see: http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2012/12/24/martin-cohen-new-york-times-has-vested-interest-in-climate-alarmism/comment-page-1/#comment-38906
Even top Democratic Senate Leader acknowledged it is the bankers who call the shots.
“Sen. Dick Durbin, on a local Chicago radio station this week, blurted out an obvious truth about Congress that, despite being blindingly obvious, is rarely spoken: “And the banks — hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created — are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.†The blunt acknowledgment that the same banks that caused the financial crisis “own†the U.S. Congress — according to one of that institution’s most powerful members — demonstrates just how extreme this institutional corruption is….”

Too bad the Occupy Wall Street crowd got their wires cross. They are supposed to be kissing the bankers arse.
At least back in 1911 registered Communist Robert Minor got it correct in his cartoon DEE-lighted.

The caption reads: Cartoon by Robert Minor in St. Louis Post-Dispatch (1911). Karl Marx surrounded by an appreciative audience of Wall Street financiers: John D. Rockefeller, J. P. Morgan, John D. Ryan of National City Bank, and Morgan partner George W. Perkins. Immediately behind Karl Marx is Teddy Roosevelt, leader of the Progressive Party.

Damn straight Gail.
Wall Street investors, whatever their political bent, are only out for more money at whatever cost. If that means embracing socialism in order to pull more money away from the people and towards big government and big “favorite” business, then they’re all for it. If it means embracing free-market capitalism and its ability to sell to whomever they wish, they’ll do that too.
Look at how the market responded when Bernanke said he would continue to have Gov’t buy tens of millions worth of debt bonds every month. While that action is bad for America, it just means a short-term smoother sailing for big business and investors. They could care less for the consequences later on for all of this debt buying. They don’t care that we don’t have the money to buy the debt.
We are borrowing money to buy borrowed money that was promised to pay off promised expenses.
Meanwhile, the debt ceiling fiasco continues on. Unabated and illegal. We’ve passed the debt ceiling months ago. No one reports it or signals out the clarion call for heads to roll. And, the treasury meanwhile reports that our debt has not risen a penny in the last 3 months.
And Gov’t solution? Increase taxes, increase regulator burdens, increase monitoring and recording, increase militarization of every agency and every school, while stripping rights from citizens.
