Wait a second; what’s up with the pin-up? She’s in what’s supposed to be an Air Force uniform, but she has her hand over her heart. A servicemember in uniform is supposed to salute, not have his hand over his heart, for the national anthem of the pledge of allegiance.
At Fort Jackson, for my younger daughter’s graduation from Basic Combat Training, soldiers who were not in uniform (my older daughter) were instructed to salute, not have their hands over their hearts, for the national anthem.
Of course, she is depicted as being in the Chair Force, so maybe that makes a difference!
