(NJ.com) Climate change in New Jersey isn’t just a threat to the owner of a beach house down the Shore. In many ways, it’s even more pressing for people who live nowhere near the coast.

But that’s not what it means if the global mean surface temperature increases 1.4, 2, 3, 4 or 7F. At the same time we’re adding 3 billion humans we’re increasing the Earth’s temperature, raising sea levels, acidifying the oceans, disrupting glacial fresh water supplies, changing the growing seasons, the natural distribution of species including pests and parasites… these effects are already being observed and will get worse.
