(Rolling Stone) Even as South Carolina and major retailers officially disconnect themselves from the Confederate flag, the controversial symbol continues to have a prominent presence at Kid Rock‘s concerts. On Monday, the National Action Network’s Michigan chapter protested outside the Detroit Historical Museum, which houses a Kid Rock exhibit, demanding that the rocker stop displaying the Confederate flag, Deadline Detroit reports. In a statement to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, Kid Rock relayed his message to those upset in his native Detroit: “Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my ass/Ask me some questions.”
Although Kid Rock was born and raised in Michigan, a Union state during the Civil War, the rocker has adopted the Confederate flag in recent years to highlight his Rebel Soul, the name of his 2012 album. In recent years, Rock has retreated to his estate in rural Alabama. Rock also toured extensively with Lynyrd Skynyrd, another – albeit Southern – act that made frequent use of the Confederate flag.
In fact, Skynyrd was against the harsh treatment of Blacks in the South, was against Governor George Wallace, and was for Black equality. Their use of the Confederate Flag was based on Southern Pride, much like northern liberals have this pride about living in Big Cities and denigrate “Flyover America”.
As Fox News points out, Kid Rock aligns himself with the Southern pride connotations of the flag and not its racial implications, since Rock’s son Robert Ritchie Jr., is biracial, and as of December 2014, the First Kiss singer also has biracial grandchildren.
Interestingly, most of those whining about a flag seem rather unconcerned about Black on Black violence. Of course, these same liberals isolate themselves in enclaves that are so white that they would make members of the Aryan Nation comfortable. And their policies do wonders in keeping Blacks poor, uneducated, and stuck in ghettos.

Mr. Rock introduces a new reason for supporting the symbol – not southern pride, not race hate but rather the love of money!
But his right to display this symbol does not immunize him from criticism.

You’re purposely conflating concern for an issue with potential solutions. You’re Very Upset that most progressives disagree with your solutions to limit Black on Black violence.

The answer to your questions is yes. Progressive policies have most definitely been responsible for holding back blacks. Almost anyone associated with care for poor folks will support the idea that the government has caused a substantial amount of harm. There is a good book called Leave Us Alone, at least I think that is the title as I have not read in in a while, but check it out. Of course, it would not change your attitude as you don’t want the truth and you revel in your hate. I want go into detail as it would be a waste of time, but the CSA flag is more representative of freedom than that of the US. If view the South just like the Irish viewed their country in the 1800’s and hope that one day we can win our freedom.

Jeffery never offers facts only throws more questions at you. Its a Saul Alinsky trick. NEVER answer their question just hit them from all sides. Make them defend their positions. When they master one tactic just move on to another.
Jeff has no desire to actually provide facts figures laws on the books or any other such information….his only goal is to make anyone whom he disagrees with look foolish by trying to defend their position.

Governments within the US should no more celebrate the confederate battle flag than the Mexican flag, a Nazi flag or the Tea Party flag.
Yes, let’s ignore the real problem, black on black violence. But that scary flag thing is out of the way.
The confederate battle flag is not “out of the way”, but is just being removed from government facilities.
You can still proudly proclaim your ignorance and hatred of your fellow man, it’s just the government will no longer do it for you.
