I listened to Trump hold a pity party earlier about how the media, especially Fox News, was being oh-so-mean to him (despite him having been on Fox And Friends this morning, and no meanness involved). Of course, the only one really making threats is Trump, and Cruz has responded in force

“Donald, if you want to file a lawsuit challenging this ad, claiming it’s defamation, file the lawsuit,” Cruz told reporters here after playing the ad, which shows clips of Trump espousing more liberal positions on issues like abortion from an interview with Tim Russert more than a decade ago.
Cruz, a Harvard-educated lawyer and former Texas solicitor general, went on to say he might depose Trump in court himself. And he warned that should Trump proceed, he and his lawyers would be “sanctioned in court for filing frivolous litigation.”

Trump fired back at Cruz with a sharp statement. “He is a liar and these ads and statements made by Cruz are clearly desperate moves by a guy who is tanking in the polls — watching his campaign go up in flames finally explains Cruz’s logo,” Trump replied in a statement. He went on to pledge, “If I want to bring a lawsuit it would be legitimate. Likewise, if I want to bring the lawsuit regarding Senator Cruz being a natural born Canadian I will do so. Time will tell, Teddy.”
I triple dog dare him. There’s no way someone like Cruz decides to run for POTUS without doing their due diligence on whether he is eligible. I’d also like to see him file the suit on the add, because it would surely highlight all of Trump’s liberal leanings.

I see problems with it john, but it doesn’t only happen in GOP controlled states. It happens everywhere. That’s the difference between you and I – I see it as a problem and you only see it as a problem in states where the GOP has a majority.
I know they are the party rules john. The problem is that those rules reject the will of the people as to who will be the nominee. I guess that you are for the elite ruling class.

Sanders’ plans will cost the people 17 trillion in taxes and cut jobs. Clinton’s plans are a little shy of 1 trillion, but still affects jobs.
Finally, Bernie and Clinton don’t want to face Cruz. In a debate, he would rip them both to shreds. Bernie relies on “I can give you more by stealing from others!” and Clinton relies on her name and the fact that she is a woman. Perhaps that is why the media is slurping Trump and hitting on Cruz. At the same time, they are doing their best to ignore the costs of Bernie an Clinton’s plans. It should also be noted that the main stream media was dragged kicking and screaming into the email server debacle and still covers Clinton’s illegal actions as a back burner issue. She of course, will get cover from DOJ just as the State Department has tried to avoid and not comply with FOIA requests.
Why do you think that? Raffi Cruz has not done well in the American debates, so far. Perhaps he could do well in Canadian debates.
As has been explained before, the problem with handicapping the GOP side from the liberal perspective is the damage that can be inflicted on the nation by the election of Republican extremists vs the likelihood of them getting elected. Since 1980, Republican Presidents have been very harmful to the nation – wrecking the economy, invading nations for no good reason and appointing extremist judges. I DON’T believe the Republicans actually intend to harm America, it’s just they don’t understand what their ideologies wreak.
Cruz would continue, if not exacerbate, the destruction of the poor and working classes started by Mr. Reagan, and would add direct oppression of minorities, gays, non-Christians and women to his cauldron. His neo-con foreign policy “ideas” would further add to the destabilization of humankind. Cruz displays all the hallmarks of a sociopath, so there’s no telling what he will do.
Even though Trump is more electable (and that says a lot about Cruz as a candidate when the opposition thinks Trump is more normal) I would choose Trump over Cruz every day and twice on Sunday, because the risk to the nation of a Cruz Presidency are so great.
Romney was a safer choice from the Dem perspective because although he was more electable than the typical conservative clown car members, he was also less dangerous to the nation – he is likely sane. The same calculus attended the McCain nomination (until he chose Palin) – he is sane.
Dems usually favor the least crazy of the Republican candidates, just in case the Republican dirty tricks and election fixing works (see 2000). All that President did was invade Iraq and destroy the US economy. I wish McCain had won that nomination!

I have no idea what you are watching but except for one debate, Cruz has always been in the top 2.
In a debate against Clinton, Cruz would kill her on anything that has to do with the law and her record. With Bernie, that 17 trillion is sitting out there. Also on stage with so many other people has hurt Cruz as he is not prone to simple positions. His positions are nuanced which is not easy to get out and reported. Your statements on Cruz shows that. One on one in a debate, he is a stone cold killer who can think on his feet. Neither Clinton nor Sanders can do that.

And yet what we have seen historically is that Democratic policies destroy America and it is up to the Republicans to clean up the mess.
Democrats love stealing from people (as you yourself have proposed when it comes to the intellectual property of others.) They are for big government forgetting that government never creates or sells anything. The government only takes.
We’ve seen the destruction of liberal bastions in cities like LA, Washington, Baltimore, Chicago and countless others.
Somehow you think that expanding those failures to the rest of the country is a good thing.
