It doesn’t matter that the Orlando ISIS loving killer did not use an AR-15 or any variant. But, he, facts don’t matter. We already have a Philly.com writer claiming it took her just 7 minutes to purchase an AR-15. It’d take longer than that to fill out the paperwork. Did she expect to be turned down during the instant background check? And it took two Huffington Post writers just “38 minutes to walk out of a gun shop with a death machine.” Yes, an AR-15. Interestingly, they surely drove to the gun shop in a a multi-ton death machine. Nothing tops this, though, from NY Daily News hysteric Gersh Kuntzman
Firing an AR-15 is horrifying, menacing and very very loud
It feels like a bazooka — and sounds like a cannon.
One day after 49 people were killed in the Orlando shooting, I traveled to Philadelphia to better understand the firepower of military-style assault weapons and, hopefully, explain their appeal to gun lovers.
But mostly, I was just terrified.
It’s been awhile since I fired one myself, but, it was about as bothersome as firing my Walther P22, which is a .22 caliber handgun. You want terrified? Well, more like heavily surprised? Have someone fire a Desert Eagle in the lane 6 down. Which wasn’t allowed and got the guy kicked out. They fire actual cannons at ECU Pirates football games (using blanks, obviously.) Kuntzman should go to a Civil War or Independence War re-enactment to see a real cannon.
And, if it feels like a bazooka, he should go to the gym more.
Not in my hands. I’ve shot pistols before, but never something like an AR-15. Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection).
I listen to heavy metal louder than an AR-15. Much, much louder.
The recoil bruised my shoulder. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary case of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.
We have a saying here down south: Bless your heart. The shell casings would not be flying by your face if you’re holding the weapon correctly. The weapon is made to have little kick. One of the reasons women love to have them for self defense (which Liberal gun grabbers want to take away and replace with rape whistles). Nor is he firing an old-school black powder musket to get the sulfur odor. PTSD?
Even in semi-automatic mode, it is very simple to squeeze off two dozen rounds before you even know what has happened. In fully automatic mode, it doesn’t take any imagination to see dozens of bodies falling in front of your barrel.
Is Kuntzman claiming that he was able to fire the weapon in automatic mode? I didn’t see that in the video at the article. Nor do they come in automatic. But, most gun grabbing liberals reading the article wouldn’t understand the lie.
Over at Bearing Arms, Mike McDaniel skewers Kuntzman, including
As a fellow member of the patriarchy, I worry about Mr. Kuntzman’s masculinity and self-image. I have, on numerous occasions, introduced females, including little girls no older than 10 and no more than 70 pounds, to the awe-inspiring power of the AR-15. Granted, they had to fire from a supported position, lacking the strength to support the 7-pound rifle for long otherwise, but after firing many rounds, their universal reaction was one of delight–they found the little rifle’s accuracy and ease of use pleasing–and not a bruise among them. The same is true of adult women, many no more than 110 pounds sopping wet.
And over at Legal Insurrection, Kemberlee Kaye notes
If a .223 rifle bruises your shoulder, you should eat more bananas.
I wonder when Kuntzman will decry the use of fully automatic weapons by the security details for Obama and Hillary?

Yesterday the man in this video from the NY Daily News called and asked if he could come and interview us about the basic principles of how an AR-15 works. We acknowledged his offer so that we could prove that an AR-15 is indeed a great and safe weapon as stated in the video. After the video was filmed there was another Q&A type conversation on how things work in other countries, what are some of the things others believe would be a step into the right direction of gun control. To our knowledge we did not know that Mr. Kuntzman would completely turn things around and make our establishment look like one of anti-gun advocates…..
Currently we are doing everything we can to take this article down because after reading it we are just as disgusted about it as all of you are…..
And for the record, if you get a bruised shoulder or PTSD from shooting an AR-15 you may be a Katie Couric, liberal with ought testicular fortitude
“It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t true.”
Ronald Reagan
As a vet who spent three years in Nam firing all kinds of weapons I solemnly swear an AR-15 is not like a bazooka and no where near a 155mm cannon.
Typical media just making shit up again. I doubt everything in this story, except the author’s name. All just creative writing from his regular seat at Starbucks near his apartment.
While I couldn’t find anything in his bio, the website gayorstraight.com has Mr Kuntzman listed as 100% homosexual on their “gaydar,” and I believe it. My daughters are both Army sharpshooters with the M-16 — the AR-15 is basic ally a civilian version — and neither of them told me that they were “terrified” of the weapon.

The embed code probably won’t work for me, but here’s the link to a video of a girl shooting a Bushmaster XM-15. She doesn’t look terrified!
Mr Kuntzman might be male, but he’s surely not a man.
You called it. Dana. Leftist “males” think a carbine is an “assault weapon” because of the way it looks. They judge weapons the way they judge everything else, on feelings.
Typically the AR 15 firing is in the 150 db range well above that that causes hearing damage https://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=365775
John, while our esteemed host didn’t quote that part of Mr Kuntzman’s article, he did state that he was wearing hearing protection. That’s just normal gear on a firing range.
In fact, the decibel range for almost all weapons is in the 150 to 160 dB. It matters not whether we are talking about a shotgun, long gun or pistol, most are in that range:
The loudness doesn’t have much to do with the explosion shell, but rather the breaking of the sound barrier by the projectile. Once again, a leftist who doesn’t know or understand science.
The comment that the AR-15 bruised or hurt his shoulder has been met with scorn on many milblog sites. Person after person who served and trained with the M-16 and AR-16 variants all recount the during training, the NCO responsible for the training would place the weapon against his jaw and fire it with no ill effects. The NCO would then place the weapon against his groin and fire it and not flinch.
The recoil is very light, especially when compared to a shotgun or larger caliber weapon.
Yet if you are trying to make a case to fit a narrative rather than to fit facts, you lie. That is what leftists do.
He lives up to his name.
Hoagie claims that the M 16 permanently damaged his hearing
Are you calling that Vet that is claiming 3 years in Nam a liar?
Even the NRA reccomends hearing protection, uhhh maybe you didn’t hear about that (snip) Don’t pretty much ALL indoor ranges mandate hearing protection ? https://www.nrainstructors.org/docs/sum07-43.pdf http://www.usacarry.com/select-proper-hearing-protection-for-shooting-to-avoid-permanent-hearing-loss/ http://training.nra.org/nra-gun-safety-rules.aspx
oh and an all regional Bless their Hearts to the Southern Baptists, they have finally repudiated the Southern battle Flag
They are calling for their churches to discontinue displaying that Confederate flag
Re,e,ber back when that flag was a “thing”?
Okay everyone new rule:
Nobody talks to the press without your owncamera rolling.
First off John, Hoagie claims no such thing.
I claimed no one a liar until now. You lied see above.
The NRA “recommends”. Key word because nothing is usually “mandated” just strongly suggested on indoor ranges.
Have you ever fired a weapon John? Indoor or outdoor. The report is very different outdoor.
