trumpy finally denounced (weakly) the recent rise in anti-semitic acts in the US. he waited because he was afraid of alienating his base.
Last night in University City MO a Jewish cemetery was vandalized with hundreds of headstones knocked over.

President Trump has Jewish in-laws, he has Jewish advisers, and he has long-time Jewish business associates and friends, but, for the left, his deeds aren’t good enough: he has to say what they want him to say, and then, when he does, they still combitch.
The left never complained when President Obama negotiated with Iran, an enemy which would wipe out Israel if it could, or when he had Samantha Powers abstain on Security Council Resolution 2334 — he wanted it to pass, but didn’t have the balls to have Mrs Powers vote ‘aye’ — but when President Trump, who said that 2334 should have been vetoed, doesn’t use the words the left want, why he must be an anti-Semite.
Why would President Trump need to “denounce” anything? Are people on the left so stupid they don’t know it’s immoral and illegal to commit anti-Semitic crimes? Or are they too busy creating fake “hate” crimes and fake news? Maybe they’re trying to recover from the Obama Great Recession and get a job that the left is giving away to immigrants rather than Americans.
It really is amazing that President Trump has accomplished more positive things in one month than Loose Shoes did in 7 years (the 8th Three Putt spent at the golf course).
And yet we’re experiencing an explosion of anti-semitic crimes.

He hasn’t done it yet. Of course, he talked about doing something for them way, way, way back in the early part of Campaign Season, and throughout. Most Trump supporters ignored that.

The problem, of course, is that higher education DOES select against conservatism. Why are liberals better educated than conservatives? For one, conservatism eschews education, data and evidence. Conservatism is akin to a fundamentalist religion, with central tenets (many cryptic now due to “political correctness”) based on beliefs, not evidence. To be fair, liberalism has its tenets as well – e.g., equality and freedoms for all, not just the powerful.
Few conservatives have the intelligence and drive to obtain graduate degrees, especially in the sciences, plus, importantly, education seems to convert borderline conservatives to liberals. Why? Because conservatism is an ideology based on beliefs, not evidence. A scientist, trained for a decade to evaluate evidence, isn’t as easily swayed by claims that the unemployment rate is really 40%.
So called “smart” conservatives are playing roles – roles to garner income or prestige or attention. They are conservative leaders, leading their followers. That’s not to say that conservative leaders don’t eventually believe the lies they tell to manipulate their followers. A reasonably clever person such as Newt Gingrich probably does start to believe the lies he has repeated for 3 decades. This is not a problem for a naive schlubb like trumpy, who hasn’t a single gram of introspection in his corpulence. He lies with a clear conscience.

To be politically relevant: Conservatives have become anti-free trade and protectionist. They now accept personal behaviors much worse than Bill Clinton’s. They are now “softer” on Russia than any previous president, all of whom they criticized. Once again, deficits and debts don’t matter.
The only consistency with classic conservatism is the fawning giveaways to corporate America.
The alt-right, white nationalist, (Bannon) driven agenda is focused on banning Muslims, deporting Mexicans, silencing criticism, whacking LGBTs – all to keep the alt-right base activated.
