Happy Sunday! It is another gorgeous day in the U.S.A., and it is not only Veteran’s Day weekend, but Saturday was the Marines’ birthday, having been born Nov. 10, 1921. The Marines logo is meant to be part of this pinup by Baron Von Lind, which is why I did not add its logo like the others. Perhaps a bit more risque then usual. Oh, well.
Who’s got what going on ye olde feedreader?
- Let’s start it off with Cassy Fiano over at Wizbang, who discusses the Marines’ birthday, along with a great video
- Jeff at Think Sink celebrates 19th Century Day. Unintentionally
- Over at Six Meat Buffet, Hillary is from Pluto
- Stacy is in the teaching math biz
- Sister Toldjah offers a whole new take on the phrase “miserable failure.” Add an “s”
- Loose Change Weekend is here, in an economics meltdown kind of way. See Screw Loose Change for the 411
- Hazel (Adeline and Hazel) has celebrities who look like they smell. Heh
- Jimmy Carter, like the Clintons (remember the Socks story?), apparently doesn’t like cats. Are We Lumberjacks is on the case
- Blue Crab Boulevard covers an Army Lt. receiving the Distinguished Service Cross. Too bad the MSM didn’t
- Beth (Blue Star Chronicles) issues a camel fatwa. Or is she looking for a fatwa? I’m confused
- See video of Koocinich on his UFO sighting, courtesy of Bullwinkle
- Cao digs into a UN IPCC member calling for its abolition. Insert smirk here
- The Fact Checker (OK, not strictly a blog, but it is in my feedreader) gives climahysteric Bill Richardson 4 out of 5 Pinocchio’s
- Hillary is also cheapskate. My good liberal friend The Gun Toting Liberal jumps in
- Let’s end it up with Hooah Wife and Friends, who say “Semper Fi!”
Now off to do inventory. Sigh. Well, want it done before the Giants (go Big Blue)/Dallas game. As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page. While we are on pinups, have you gotten your “Pinups for Vets†calendar yet?
[…] as always to our good friend William Teach of Pirate’s Cove for including this article in his Sorta Blogless Sunday Pinup blogger […]
I think you have the year wrong for the marines …
1775? As for the patriotic pinup….
“Over there… over there… and there and here and everywhere!” – The Yanks are coming and she is worth dying for Blackbeard!
I appreciate the link Teach – but are you saying I look like a camel?? I’m confused. Should I thank you or slap you?
tdothen, you’re right. There was supposed to be a little more after that, reading that the order was to be read and commemoration to be, but the marines actually started in 1775. Sorry.
Heya, Darth!
Beth, I meant it that you are looking for a fatwa from the Muslim extremist, as you are making fun of them.
Beth… I’m having difficulty adding posts to your blog at night at work… Can’t get no penetration! – Darth!!
Gunny Dad whose 80 and a WW II Korean War Leatherneck went to Tully’s Tavern in South Philly to block party the USMC Birthday at 232 years old! (1775) and OOH RAH! Sorry that John Ryan wasn’t invited… I wonder why? Hollyweirdo actor Robert Ryan was good on stage but a lousy liberal himself…must be bloodlines WT!
