And Gulf Times
A second day of icy weather led London’s Heathrow Airport to cancel more than 100 flights on Sunday and disrupted the homecoming celebrations of Ireland’s all-conquering rugby team.
Around 115 flights were grounded at Heathrow, the second busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic, with transatlantic, domestic and European flights worst hit.
And the BBC
Derby County’s game against Cardiff City in the Championship has been postponed because of heavy snow.
The Pride Park club said the weather had put the areas surrounding their stadium in an “unsafe condition”.
Three Women’s FA Cup quarter-finals – Arsenal v Charlton, Durham v Everton and Sunderland v Manchester City – are off, as is the WSL 2 game at Watford.
Additionally, the Grand Slam-winning Irish rugby union team’s homecoming celebrations in Dublin were cancelled.
And now I’m just awaiting all the Tweets about the midweek snowstorm here on the East Coast being caused by ‘climate change’.
