Now, just remember how the headline from the WP Editorial Board reads
8 million teeter on the brink of famine. America is complicit.
America is complicit
WHILE THE world was focused on the U.S.-North Korea summit, two U.S. allies in the Middle East launched a reckless and potentially catastrophic military offensive in Yemen, a country already enduring the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Troops led by the United Arab Emirates and backed by Saudi Arabian warplanes are attempting to seize the port city of Hodeida, which is held by the Houthi forces who make up one side in Yemen’s civil war. Because 70 percent of Yemen’s food and aid shipments come though the port, the United Nations and every major humanitarian agency have warned of dire consequences for the 22 million Yemenis who already depend on outside assistance, including 8 million on the brink of famine. They pleaded with the Saudis and Emiratis to hold off and allow more time for a diplomatic solution.
So, this is also about deflecting from what Trump has so far accomplished and may further accomplish with North Korea.
The attack nevertheless went ahead early Wednesday after receiving what amounted to passive assent from the Trump administration. That means the United States, which already has been supplying its two allies with intelligence, refueling and munitions, will be complicit if the result is what aid officials say it could be: starvation, epidemics and other human suffering surpassing anything the world has seen in decades.
See? Blame Trump for “passive assent”.
Though Yemen has always been a poor country, this crisis is man-made. It was triggered by the intervention of the Saudis and Emiratis in Yemen’s war three years ago. Promising quick action to drive the Houthis out of the capital, Sanaa, and other cities they had captured, the two countries carried out bombing campaigns that killed thousands of civilians but failed to recapture much of the country.
Guess who’s name doesn’t appear anywhere? And was a big supporter of the actions against Yemen? Who launched strikes himself? Wouldn’t this have been termed an “inherited problem” back in 2009 and 2010?
The Trump administration could have prevented the assault on Hodeida; instead, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo equivocated, thereby allowing it to go forward. Congress, which has long been uneasy with U.S. support for the Yemen war, must now act. All funding for U.S. support for the intervention should be halted and further arms sales put on hold until the offensive ends, humanitarian assistance flows freely and peace talks are underway.
That cited article shows that the Trump admin “had asked the Emirates to hold off on an operation until after U.N. envoy Martin Griffiths presented a new plan for jump-starting peace talks.”
It’s funny how the same WPEB forgot to criticize Obama and demand the same things of Congress.
Washington Compost fully supports MS-13, now turns to the ISIS allied Houthi forces to show complete lack of journalism ethics….
Google “Obama Yemen” and look at the list of press orgs criticizing the Obama administration’s handling of Yemen.
NYT, Huffpo, WaPo, TheAtlantic, USNews, DemocracyNow etc excoriated Obama for Yemen, and also for the Obama’s assassination of an American citizen there.
But tRump is “president” now.
So Jeffery Keene of Galera Therapeutics in St. Louis, Mo.

So little fella is that info still correct?
Pretty close! My attorney will be in touch with TEACHs attorney to work out a settlement!
Did you want to make a threat by any chance?
Just wanted to make sure who you were.
And Teach had nothing to do with it, little dumbass…
Just a simple google search once you stupidly revealed your last name along with the other biographical info you’ve bragged so much about over the years and it was all publically available, little tuff guy.
Good luck getting a settlement because of your own public stupidity, little dumbass.
So is the company email info still correct, little fella?
Au contraire. This is TEACHs blog.
You sure you don’t want to make another threat?
Well, I’ve never issued a threat toward you but I do want to be your good buddy.
Now that you think you’ve revealed my identity, don’t you want to accuse me of sexual abuse again?
You were very specific previously. Maybe ask TEACH.
Uh, no you revealed your identity.
Keep digging!!
This leaves you in a conundrum, doesn’t it. If that’s not really me, you have no problem.
If it is really me you’ve identified, then you and TEACH have a defamation problem from your multiple accusations of me raping my grandson, that TEACH allowed and enabled.
We’ll let you guys sort it out.
Good, I’d love for all of your accusations towards me and others on this site to come out, little tuff guy.
Are you threatening me, Jeffery Keene of St. Louis?
Dp,
He is definitely threatening you and you have been harmed. I would bet that certain government people would like to see his threatening post about Trump. I hope you don’t get the vapors over this. He is dumb and we can add lack of knowledge of civil law to his long list of things to study.
I’m having a blast with this nignorant angry little black fella, Jeffery Keene of St Louis, MO.
He really is incredibly stupid for posting his last name.
Fvck that guy.
Take it up with TEACH. His system added a last name. We didn’t type it.
In fact, his system has stored three mailing list email addresses that were harvested from my computer.
How did that happen? It appears TEACH may be taking your personal information.
Don’t know. Don’t care.
You confirmed everything yourself, little dumbass.
Did your lawyer tell you to fvck off because you have no cause for action and you cannot sue because of your own stupidity?
So are still trying to threaten me, Jeffery Keene of St. Louis?
He is back to the we business so maybe one of the other people in his head typed it. Note that he is a true liberal, always some one else is at fault.
I forgot Trump is the only thing living in his head maybe he typed Keene.
It’s quite telling that the nignorant angry little black fella (aka Jeffery Keene of St. Louis) is mumbling some horseshit about it wasn’t really his fault that he revealed his own identity but instead tries to pin it on Teach.
Fvck that.
No, as far as name, email, and website, the only way WordPress gets that is if you type it in. More likely, you clicked on a full username for something else instead of Jeffrey.
I can see, if I want, the IP address, which gives wherever it’s from. Country, state, city. I could even search what provider. That’s it. And I don’t even look at that stuff. Can’t be bothered. No need. Same with email. Doesn’t matter to me.
Now, everyone, let’s take it down a few notches, shall we? Get back to arguing about politics and stuff.
That escalated quickly. I’m glad I wasn’t named. Being threatened with lawsuits by people on the internet can be so traumatic.
For the record: I find Jeff’s antics here annoying at best. They are a constant reminder that in modern politics, there is no middle ground. People like him have nothing to say that other people want to hear and the feeling is mutual. Yet I find the practice of “doxing” people on the internet a greater harm than good. It is used almost exclusively by the left to make every right wing, or conservative, or Christian commenter just STFU and bake the cake. There are very active campaigns in business, government, and all areas of the internet to find conservative and traditional points of view and expunge them and persecute the people who had the audacity to say those views. It is a practice that Saul Alinsky taught to his followers, but he didn’t start it. Stalin was good at it. North Korea practices it to perfection. The harm of communism isn’t in some philosophical discussion of ownership of the means of production or the labor theory of value. It’s about abject human misery and the driving influence of communists to kill anyone who opposes them. Erasing alternative views and opinions from the internet is just another form of book burning that precedes the rounding up of dissenters. Communism always leads to mass murder and communists are always good with that. Breaking eggs to make omelets, etc.
Jeff is wrong. He is wrong about everything. But using the tactics of the communists against him is even more wrong. I want to live in a country where wrong people are still allowed to be wrong. That is what freedom looks like. And I don’t care that all of Jeff’s political views inevitably lead to mass murder. I also don’t care that Jeff and his fellow compatriots have been taught to use my values of decency against me. I choose to be decent and accept that risk. As long as the mass murder hasn’t started yet, he should be free to hold his opinions and to tell everyone else what they are without fear of intimidation.
Of course, Jeff is in no danger. Leftists don’t lose their jobs for having leftist beliefs. Only traditional views are suppressed.
Hypothetical: If a tree defames a person where no one can hear, is there any harm done? Common torts permit relief from damaging action and reimbursement from damage caused. If no harm was done, what is the expected “recovery”?
Sorry, Prof.
Respectfully, we’ll have to agree to disagree.
As was pointed out, the nignorant angry little black fella in his haste to stupidly slam other commenters stupidly outed himself by stupidly adding his last name at least 3 times.
Then even more stupidly confirmed his identity and then stupidly threatened legal action against me and Teach because of his own stupidity.
Perhaps Eric Bonhoeffer put it best:
https://religiousgrounds.wordpress.com/2016/05/11/bonhoeffer-on-stupidity-entire-quote/
That’s why I never engage with Jeff. It’s just totally pointless.
I don’t know who Bonhoffer is or why it should be important for me to do what he says. But I will disagree that stupidity is more dangerous than malice. And since it is a purely philosophy-based argument, I am free to be wrong about that with no harm done to anyone.

Prof,
Totally agree with you. But some history. I have been coming to the site for many years. The blog is good, the owner is smart, and the discussion is learned. Then Jeff showed up a few years ago and immediately started to mischaracterize what people said, lie, and generally degrade the blog. In a perfect world we would ignore him, but human frailty being what it is and the need in a short period to discredit the bum make for rather obnoxious use of the King’s language. It makes us look petty, but it keeps Jeff from becoming more of a tyrant. As he has outed himself, he likely will go away. But he is part of a group that target climate discussion and try to eliminate the blog.
I have also been coming here for years and agree on everything you said, mostly.
Jeff isn’t going away just because you know who he is in real life. Guys like him feed of the attention you give him. If everyone here stopped engaging with him, he would go away. I have seen this work on other sites. If no one responds to his first comment, he doesn’t post a second, third, and fourth comment. Now, if teach is getting paid by the comment, then we should all chip in and either make up the difference or play “taunt the troll” with gleeful abandon.
I hate communists. I think they perform a useful public service by telling us who they are.
You may be right but it’s been quite peaceful here at the Cove as of late.
