OCASIO-CORTEZ: CLIMATE CHANGE IS MILLENNIALS AND GEN. Z’S ‘WORLD WAR II’
Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed that climate change is millennials’ version of World War II during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event on Monday at Riverside Church in New York City.
“I think that the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. And your biggest issue is, your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II,†Ocasio-Cortez began.
“I think for younger people, we’re looking at this are more like, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying ‘let’s take it easy’ when the nth person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?†she asked.
“How are we saying take it easy, when the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of,â€Â Ocasio-Cortez added.
As you can see, ‘climate change’ is just a part of the overall progressive/leftist/socialist/Marxist/whatever you want to call it push for big big big government. It’s a tool, like the Fight For $15, which puts people out of work. It’s not science. It’s politics.

One of the problems with mocking the Distinguished Gentlewoman from New York is that, attention whore that she is, she is loving this; she is feeding on the ‘all publicity is good publicity’ notion, and conservatives have been all too eager to help her along with this. Yes, she’s either economically ignorant or just plain bone stupid — and the two are not mutually exclusive — by being a socialist, and yes, every time she opens her garishly lipsticked mouth, more mockworthy idiocy spews out, but at some point mocking her becomes self-defeating: conservatives are helping to build her up into a millennial hero. She’s too young to run for President in 2020, but by 2024 she will be just old enough — barely — and The Washington Post reported this morning that “A new poll finds that 74 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning adults would consider voting for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for president if they could.”
One can hope that, by the time the 2024 election rolls around, the millennials will have found the realities of having to grow up will have tempered their enthusiasm for this idiot, but you never can tell, and all of this publicity is just building her up more.

What a surprise, all the climate activists in the world live in industrialized “western” nations where governments will pay them with tax money to believe in climate change while they enjoy first world levels of energy use.
Do conservatives think government overspends? We’ll believe you’re serious when you give up all your government handouts – clean air, clean water, roads, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment pay, police and fire protection, public schools, etc.
When conservatives start walking the walk, the rest of us will consider your complaints about taxes and government spending.
