If you’re wondering how to reduce your personal impact on climate change, a U.K. government advisory group has a guidebook for you, buried in a sprawling report released Thursday on how the country can achieve “net zero†greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
That fresh target meets the requirements of the Paris Agreement, which commits member countries to set their “highest possible ambition†to keep global temperatures from rising by 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, and ideally below 1.5 degrees, to prevent the worst effects of climate change. (You don’t need a reminder on what those are, do you?)
Temperatures are already 1 degree above pre-industrial levels, so the report says acting on the recommendations—which cover widespread shifts in business, policy, and consumer behavior—is urgent.
Being 1C above 1850 temperature is a) no proof that it is mostly/solely due to Mankind, and b) utterly normal during the Holocene and coming out of a cool period. Here’s more on this nuttiness

Anyone out there keep their homes 66F or less for heating? I keep mine at 68, but, that’s my choice. Other people keep it at 70. A graphic in the story shows
The only way this is done is through government force. So, that is what they will push.
I find the term “snitty” preferable to “naggy”.
Now, how many of the government types and environmental types and do gooder types and all the liberals are doing this? ZERO. How much impact on the environment would occur if everyone did this? ZERO. Why are these people advertising these stupid measures? A good bit of money exchanges hands, the politicians look like they are doing something (which they are not), they are setting the stage for a more intrusive set of laws to take over the lives of their citizens, they are setting the stage for global government, they are making a class society with the current rulers at the top (much like the feudal society of the Middle Ages).
What we need and likely what is going to occur is a much needed and over due civil war to clean out the ruling class and reset the government, here and in Brittan.

I have an easy, efficient and guaranteed effective way to “achieve “net zero†greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.” Quite simple; eliminate all government agencies, personnel and operations not specifically required for the security of the nation. Mission accomplished.
