What I see is a bunch of people sitting at the beach spread out like people normally do. We have plenty of space at our beaches. They are doing what is today called “social distancing.” I hate to assign negative motives to this, but, we’ve seen what the media has been doing, and the headline is the clue. Perhaps the person who took the video was just taking video, being excited that people are coming back.
Meanwhile
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot threatened to issue citations and even arrest anyone who violated stay-at-home orders. Lightfoot issued a strong warning to her constituents who don’t comply with the lockdown orders during a COVID-19 press conference on Saturday.
“We will shut you down, we will cite you, and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail,” Lightfoot said. “Don’t make us treat you like a criminal, but if you act like a criminal and you violate the law and you refuse to do what is necessary to save lives in this city in the middle of a pandemic we will take you to jail, period.” (snip)
After her news briefing, Lightfoot and police officers patrolled the streets and ordered a group of young kids to go home. One young man responded: “Y’all need to find a cure. You talk about going home. You go home.”
If being home is so darned important, why is she out and about? Perhaps she can get another haircut. And the city has released lots of criminals from jail. And won’t keep illegal aliens in jail.

I will say it right now: were I a business owner and one of my employees snitched on me, he would quickly become a former employee. People like that are nothing but dog poop left on someone else’s lawn.
Tar, feathers and a rail are what need to be employed to set a standard of how much collaborating with the Stasi will be tolerated. Sadly people tend to endure assaults to their rights until they become unbearable then burst into war. Tar and feathers appropriately applied can stop that. That’s REAL social distancing!

In 1775, tar and feathering was something that outraged colonists applied to onerous public officials, and it was, of course, allowed. Today, it would be considered felonious assault, but for the [insert plural slang term for the rectum here] who deserve it, it shouldn’t be.
Alas! Despite the honored history of tar and feathers, reality is somewhat different. It wasn’t the major oppressors who received the treatment, but the officious little pricks who carried out their orders. The history, if applied to one of our recent events, would have been tar and feathering a Kentucky State Trooper who was writing down license plate numbers in a church parking lot, while Reichsstatthalter Andy Beshear (NSDAP-KY), who ordered it, would not have been. Herr Beshear can’t lose his job due to issuing those orders, but a State Police Trooper who refused to carry out the assignment could be fired.
Also from the esteemed Mr Dowd’s home state: Kansas City Now Allows Religious Gatherings, But Requires ‘Records of All Attendees.’ Nothing quite says freedom of religion like requiring that churches take attendance and submit the records to the government.
Apparently, they were all over the parks in Gotham yesterday, too.
