Florida Looks To Ban “Trans Women And Girls” From Playing On Real Female Sports Teams

As we know, the concept that biological men with mental issues making them identify as female should not be participating with biological females, taking away their wins, scholarships, and such, is “controversial.” Florida is the latest to push protection for real women

Florida lawmakers pass ‘cruel’ bill banning trans women and girls in school sports

Transgender women and girls will be banned from participating in school sports in Florida, if the state’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, signs what critics call a “cruel and horrific” bill rushed through by state legislators in a controversial late-night session.

The politicians revived, then passed, the bill that prohibits trans athletes competing in high school and college sports in short order on Wednesday, employing what opponents have called “shady, backroom tactics” to bind it to unrelated legislation on charter schools.

A previous, standalone bill passed the Florida house earlier this month, but died in the state senate after warnings from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) that it would not stage championship games and tournaments in states with discriminatory policies.

“It’s horrific,” said Gina Duncan, the director of transgender equality at Equality Florida. “This bill shows not only their lack of humanity but their astounding ignorance about the transgender community, not understanding that trans girls are girls and transgender women are women.

Women and girls with penises. Who typically do very well against real women and girls in sports, taking their wins away. Seriously, do these activists ever think to ask what the biological females think? But, anyway, notice that part about the NCAA

If the NCAA doesn’t want to protect real females who have their achievements blocked because biological men are competing against the females, then, they don’t need to be given money, especially when they threaten and attempt to blackmail Florida. The question now is “does De Santis sign the bills?”

As far as I can tell only one trans athlete has ever won an NCAA title and that was 2 years ago in Div II AA
Teach do you consider this problem to be bigger than the forgotten bathroom wars of 2016?

Since I represent women’s sports(as part of what I do) I will address your concerns.

Men tend to have approximately 40 percent muscle mass, while women tend to have approximately 30 percent muscle mass.

A man’s leg is about 80 percent muscle, compared with about 60 percent muscle in a woman’s leg. That extra muscle can help men run faster. Also, men’s muscles tend to have larger fast-twitch muscle fibers, which help with sprinting, than women do.

Additionally, Women, on average, have smaller lungs than men do. That means they consume less oxygen as compared to men. The maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max) for a sedentary woman is about 33 milliliters of oxygen per kilogram of body mass per minute. At the other hand, for young adult man, the maximum VO2 is 42 ml/kg/min.

The amount of oxygen produced at maximum exertion is greater in males than in females. So, females need to work harder to breathe in oxygen that they can deliver to their muscles. Women’s hearts is also smaller than men, which means they have a smaller stroke volume.

The physical differences between male and female as it relates to athletics is mind numbing. Even though professional sports has tried to reign in testosterone in female athletes it is clear that some women, Usually the fastest and strongest of athletes produce more testosterone and therefore are able to have stronger longs, strong muscle fibers in their legs and arms and have the ability to run faster, longer and farther than a woman.

This forces a man transitioning to a woman to take testosterone inhibiting drugs but the die is cast. They already have LARGER LUNGS, MORE MUSCLE MASS AND the necessary muscle fiber develop to give them a large competitive advantage.

So why are not more Trans in sports. Because sports requires a life long commitment and most trans start their transition late in puberty and have not had the necessary time to prepare for a sporting career.

Now you know the rest of the story and why TRANS in FEMALE SPORTS and DEFENDING IT is Misogynistic.

1950, I am guessing your descriptions apply to males and females in the highly athletic subset of the population and not the “blue water” mammal side.

Teach the dipshit typed: Women and girls with penises. Who typically do very well against real women and girls in sports, taking their wins away.

Is that true? Does Teach have evidence to support this claim or is it just another right-wing fantasy regarding trans people? (One of may conservafantasies we assume).

I will explain it to you in very simple terms that even a pharmacist can understand. Women have XX chromosomes, men have XY. That is it. There is no further discussion. People who think they are the other sex are crazy and delusional. Your problem is that you are crazy.

From The Atlantic, not exactly an evil reich wing site:

South Africa’s Caster Semenya runs past the Olympic flame in her women’s 800m round 1 heat during the London 2012 Olympic Games (Reuters)

Earlier this week, we set out to test our perception that women were catching up to men. We know, after all, that there are and were structural factors that prevented women from engaging in and training for athletics. Our perception was that these impediments had been getting slowly eroded. Therefore, we expected to see, at least in some sports, a path to equality that showed women’s times catching up with men’s in 2031 or some other date in the future.

But when we went to the data, our hypothesis didn’t hold up. In a set of swimming and running races, each women’s world record was about 90 percent of the men’s world record.

It turned out someone had already conducted similar — and broader — research on this ratio. The Israeli physicist Ira Hammerman spoke at the 2010 Wingate Congress of Exercise & Sports Sciences, and he found that this little-known ratio held across all sports.

Running. Swimming. Rowing. Kayaking. Short distance, long distance. Accomplished in teams or attempted alone. These are such diverse events, requiring different parts of the body and diverse types of talent. And yet they all share something: Their women’s speed world records are all about 90 percent of their men’s speed world records, in both short, middle and long distances.

There’s much more at the link.

I know that this will come as a shock to liberals, who can no longer distinguish between males and females, but males and females are physically different, in ways which really do make a difference in sports. Males have different pelvic structures, because women have to be able to push a baby out through their pelvises. These pelvic structures make a real difference; have you never heard the expression, “You run like a girl”? Once people have gone through puberty, these differences become more pronounced, and the physical differences are more strongly locked in.

Men are, generally speaking, physically stronger than women, larger than women, and faster than women. In sports, these things make a difference.

Do you know who Margo Dydek was? She was the tallest player ever in the WNBA, standing 7’2″ tall . . . and she never dunked the basketball in a game. A few WNBA players have, and it’s a great morale booster for their teams, and a hard shot against their opponents, but Miss Dydek never did it, even once.

5’7″ tall Spud Webb won the 1986 NBA slam dunk contest.

There have been a few cases in which supposedly trans children were abused given puberty blockers, so that boys could become girls, but those children wind up completely non-athletic and undersized; they aren’t the ones competing in athletics.

These are all things you know; why, then, do you play ignorant on this site?

    Our esteemed host quoted:

“It’s horrific,” said Gina Duncan, the director of transgender equality at Equality Florida. “This bill shows not only their lack of humanity but their astounding ignorance about the transgender community, not understanding that trans girls are girls and transgender women are women.

Well, I can see why Greg Pingston, a former ‘Homecoming king’ and high school football player, would want people to think that “trans girls are girls and transgender women are women,” but they really aren’t, no matter how much he really, really wants people to believe that.

“Alice laughed. ‘There’s no use trying,’ she said. ‘One can’t believe impossible things.’

I daresay you haven’t had much practice,’ said the Queen. ‘When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. There goes the shawl again!”

To paraphrase Franco Nero as Lancelot du Lac in Camelot, believing “impossible things should be their daily fare.” Males and females are simply biologically different, in ways that transcend outward appearance, in their genetic makeup, in their biological and chemical processes, in how they are reared and socialized. Mr Pingston? He was once married, to a real woman, and fathered two children. What he knows of being a woman is from his outward observations, not his actual experience.

As it happens, I had to look a bit more than superficially to find this out. Google “Gina Duncan,” and you’ll find plenty of articles about him, none of which mention that he is ‘transgender.’ It was only by switching the search to images that I found the photo above, and was able to follow that to the information about Mr Pingston. The credentialed media are doing their best to cover up this stuff.

  4. Professor Hale says:

I am interested about this topic primarily in what it illuminates about competitive sports in general. Specifically, what makes one person better than another. What creates advantage but not “unnatural advantage” or “unfair advantage”. It seems to be OK that Lance Armstrong’s heart is larger than other people, but not OK if he injects his own saved blood back into his system before a race. It seems Ok if a woman in Africa has a level of testosterone on par with men, she can compete in female athletics, but a male, with the same levels of those hormones may not, unless he claims to be a woman. Pro women’s soccer players can complain about not getting paid as much as male players, but may also exclude men from being on their team because that would be unfair. Isn’t it the unfair advantages that distinguish the really great athletes from the merely very excellent ones? Isn’t being male itself an “unfair” advantage? Why isn’t spending your life practicing a sport to attain excellence considered an unfair advantage? The poor, who have to seek employment to maintain themselves, don’t have the luxury of spending all day at the gym, field, and pool. How is that fair? How is it fair that tall athletic men get to be millionaires playing basketball when short, pudgy, geeky guys have to learn to code and get by on a modest salary? maybe the whole concept of “fair” in sports needs some deeper thought.
