TDS: Ellen Degeneres Blames Trump For Her Show Ending

It certainly couldn’t be the utterly toxic environment reported to be on her show, right? Nor how so many have said she is just really awful? I don’t know how many articles I saw the headlines for last year while scrolling Yahoo News and other outlets that had people coming out of the woodwork slamming her and the environment on her show

Ellen Degeneres denies toxic workplace claims led to her ending talk show, cites climate of hatred under Trump

Ellen Degeneres denied that the allegations of a toxic workplace environment led to her ending her talk show and instead blamed the climate of hatred under former President Donald Trump.

Degeneres made the comments during an interview Thursday with host Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “Today.”

Guthrie asked if she had trouble making the decision to end her show and Degeneres said she had first thought of ending the show in 2018 because of the hatred during the Trump administration.

“First of all I had been struggling with it for a while. I really did think I was gonna stop season 16, because, it was, if you can remember there was a different president, and it was a different time, and there was a lot of hatred and anger, and stuff,” Degeneres said.

Right, right, sure thing. She’s denied all the allegations, and, in fairness, they were allegations. I rarely ever read any of what she calls “clickbait headlines”, but, most were simply allegations. By a lot of people. Who never brought it up previously. And came out of the woodwork when someone started this. But, there were a lot of people, from stars to people who worked on the show. Regardless, just unhinged to blame Trump.

I’m amazed it lasted as long as it did. She will have to console herself with those big bags of money.

The “hatred and anger and stuff” (stuff being a euphemism for rioting, burning and looting I suppose)that I saw was coming from the LEFT!

What wasn’t directed at DJT was aimed squarely at my demographic. Straight, white, conservative, working, taxpaying, gun toting male. The left’s worst nightmare and damned proud of it.

The more they pissed, cried and moaned like wounded poodles the happier I was.

BTW, I really liked Ellen when she was doing stand-up.

I suspect a lot of her lost demographic if from people who just don’t watch TV anymore.

Thing is, we don’t watch TV any more because of assholes like Ellen Degenerate. The left has politicized every cop show, every sitcom, every “made for TV movie”, drama and sport. Even the ads are all black/POC/queer. Why would over half of America want to watch shows that literally call them racist shit?

Korean TV? Now you’re talkin’ my language. https://www.ondemandkorea.com/variety

All the Koreans do on TV is cry and eat!!!!!!

Except the war shows. They are great. Blood thirsty little bastards, I love’em.

Totally agree. But the women are some of worlds most attractive. We went on a road trip in Korea with some Koreans, never saw people so obsessed with food. Likely comes from decades of starvation.

Thought of a Korean tale you would like. A relative was deployed to Korea as an officer. On checking into his room he saw a Hugh box of candy on the bed. The attached card said “thank you for saving our country”, from Chamber of Commerce.

Been in Korea several times to visit my wife’s family. Great people and the Korean street food is to die for. They took me to “the best restaurant in Seoul” called Flavors other than being twice the price of The French Laundry the food was exquisite.

My wife cooks Korean at home, in fact we have one of those “kimchee refrigerators” to segregate the kimchee from all the other food so it won’t stink everything up. She is a good cook. Not as good as I but nonetheless good.

The Koreans I met both in business and her family were real nice folks. Wealthy but not snotty. Seems we’ve had the same experiences with the Koreans, david7134.

Our guide and host was a Korean lady that lives down the street. She took us to her home town east of Seoul and on the Pacific. We went into one of their large shopping areas that was likely new about 100 years ago. The theme was seafood, so you could find anything in the ground floor. But if you went into the basement, there was a massive live fish market. All the fish were alive, or for that matter anything you could imagine that was water related. You were given a bucket and went through the area choosing your dinner. Then you took it to a lady waiting on one of the various islands were you could sit and your choice was steamed or prepared live (shrimp). One of the best moments I have ever experienced.

That’s cool. I’ve been there three times and was never shown that. Now “IF” I can go back that’s on my to-do list.

Kurt Schleister wrote a column a few years back about the reaction in Korea Town to the riots in ‘92. Very funny like most of his columns. His point was, if you drive down the street and see a business owner with his AR-15 looking down from the roof of every building, even stupid people realize that this might not be a place to act stupid. My kind of people.
