Brandon Admin To Introduce New “Test To Treat” Strategy

Two years into the Wuhan Flu, and as the Omicron wave crashes, Brandon finally decided that medicines are a thing

WATCH: Biden outlines COVID plan in State of the Union, says Americans can soon move ‘back to more normal routines’

Normal? We watched the Super Bowl with all the celebs and politicians not wearing masks despite a mask mandate, and engaging in no social distancing

President Joe Biden declared Tuesday that “it’s time for Americans to get back to work” as he announced new efforts to allow people to return to normal activities safely after two years of pandemic disruptions.

Yeah, we said this a year and a half ago, when we knew who was most at risk

Biden used his State of the Union address to announce that his administration was launching a “test-to-treat” initiative to provide free antiviral pills at pharmacies to those who test positive for the virus.

He also highlighted the progress made on the pandemic since last year, with a dramatic reduction in cases, readily-available vaccines and tests, and new therapeutics soon becoming more accessible.

“Tonight, I can say we are moving forward safely, back to more normal routines,” Biden said. “It’s time for Americans to get back to work and fill our great downtowns again.”

His comments come ahead of the White House release of a new “National COVID-19 Preparedness Plan” on Wednesday. The White House said it would be “a roadmap that will enable us to move forward safely, and sustain and build on the progress we’ve made over the past 13 months.”

Progress? More people have died under Biden’s watch than under Trump, despite all the mask mandates and having vaccines available thanks to Trump’s Operation Warp Speed. Hey, can all the nurses and others get their jobs back? They were heroes first, then turned into villains for refusing to take the vaccine, which is essentially in experimental phase (yes, I still support them, but, that’s me). Therapeutics? The things Biden and the Dems have blown off because Trump and Republicans wanted them to be used? And that Biden has also blocked? These might have been helpful during Delta and Omicron.

Would these be the therapeutics that Joe has slow walked his entire presidency? It’s a little late in the game for this, right?

(NY Times) The White House has been working on a detailed new coronavirus response strategy, which officials said they would introduce on Wednesday. It is expected to address a broad range of issues, including developing new vaccines and therapeutics and how to keep schools and businesses open even if the pandemic takes a turn for the worse.

The idea behind the strategy is to get the nation out of crisis mode and to a place, Mr. Biden has said, where the virus will no longer disrupt everyday life, and Americans will learn to live with it. Mr. Biden spoke in broad strokes about the way forward, providing few details.

A goodly chunk of us were already there. Even many of Brandon’s voters have moved on from believing in the heavy hand of government. He’s promising to have 1 million doses of the Pfizer pills this month, and a million next month, despite being relatively scare since the FDA finally approved them.

It is interesting: the polling caused Democrats to suddenly abandon most of their mask mandates, we aren’t hearing about vaccine mandates, we saw at the SOTU that social distancing disappeared, and now Brandon is talking about opening things up and pushing therapeutics.
