Americans Back Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill: Golden/TIPP Poll
Most Americans back Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education Bill.” A plurality also thinks it is inappropriate to call the bill the “Don’t Say Gay” law. These are the key findings from a Golden/TIPP Poll completed last Friday.
The national poll of 1,305 adults asked Americans the following question: “The Governor of Florida signed the “Parental Rights in Education bill,” forbidding classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade. To what extent do you agree or disagree?”
The responses are as follows.
- 37% Agree strongly,
- 20% Agree somewhat,
- 11% Disagree somewhat,
- 20% Disagree strongly, and
- 12% Not sure.
So, 57% agree, 31% disagree. 20% want to groom young children into adult sexual topics, messing them up for life.
Interestingly, a majority, irrespective of party affiliations and ideologies, backed the bill, except for liberals. The support by party and ideology:
- 51% of Democrats,
- 73% of Republicans,
- 54% of Independents,
- 80% of conservatives,
- 51% of moderates, and
- 42% of liberals.
So, even a majority of Democrats agree with protecting children and involving parents. The 54% if Independents doesn’t bode well for the upcoming elections. I’d also like to know who the 27% of idiot Republicans are against parental rights and protecting children. I suppose a lot of them work for/support groups like The Bulwark and The Lincoln Project (they love molesting little boys). Others who were driven insane by Donald Trump, and now Ron DeSantis.
The poll also finds that, by 47-38, Americans find calling it “don’t say gay” is inappropriate.
Disney might want to reconsider their taking the side of groomers
(Breitbart) The Disney brand has taken a huge hit among American parents, with a majority of independents saying they “no longer trust” the company’s programming for their children in the wake of Disney pursing an aggressive LGBTQIA2S+ agenda, as well as the company’s opposition to anti-grooming legislation in Florida.
A new Issues & Insights/TIPP Poll asked 1,305 adults across America, “As a result of the recent stories, how much trust would you place in Disney’s programming for your children, assuming you have any?”
The results of the poll revealed that a majority of independents no longer trust the company, with 52 percent saying they don’t trust Disney’s designs on their children, and only 42 percent saying they do.
Why can’t we just let kids be kids, and not force the insanity upon them?
For much of the left, and virtually all of the #woke¹, taking the furthest left position possible when it comes to sexual issues is virtually required, because otherwise they’d be in league with those evil reich-wing conservatives. Since a significant number of them are childless — for which we can only thank the Lord, because they’d be absolutely rotten parents — it’s easy to support things that will affect only other people’s children.
So, when it comes to blatantly obvious things, they wind up taking positions contrary to common sense. Kindergarteners and first and second graders don’t need to be taught about homosexuality, because they are too young to ever discern that in themselves. Since so few homosexuals have children, and homosexuals are such a small part of the population anyway,² there’s really no need to be teaching “Heather has two mommies” because that situation just doesn’t arise very often for them. The much bigger problem at those ages is that Heather has a step mother or step father or, most commonly, Heather has no father at all.
The left have to present a unified front, and that has left the more reasonable Democrats in a quandary: they don’t want to support Republicans, but the more aggressive left have pushed Democratic policies so far to the left that it’s difficult for them. If the Bill Clinton of 1992 were running for President, the Democrats could be happily united: yeah, he was pretty much hard left when it came to preborn infanticide, but was moderate enough to push the Defense of Marriage Act and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to allow [insert archaic term for a bundle of sticks here] to serve in the military if they’d just keep their mouths shut about it, and to use a growing economy to go along with Republicans to get the budget balanced. Yeah, he was personally a horndog, but a lot of even conservative people are horndogs, and Republicans stupidly pushed the impeachment that they knew would fail anyway.³
The Bluegrass State was solidly Democratic, but moderate to conservative Democratic. From 1947 through 2003, Kentucky had only one Republican governor. Republican Ernie Fletcher won in 2003, but lost his bid for re-election in 2007. Then came Barack Hussein Obama, and the move much further left by the Democrats at the national level, and Kentucky Democrats were losing their political homes. Moderate Democrats persisted in the state legislature, but, come the 2016 elections, and the odious Hillary Clinton running for President, the Democrats lost control of the last state legislative chamber in the South that they controlled, in rather spectacular fashion.
The only question is: will the moderates pull the radical leftists back in, or will the ‘progressives’ push the Democrats so far left that the GOP will become their only home?
