    In 2018 Abrams had an opportunity to win in Georgia and fell short. Her response was the ELECTION WAS STOLEN. A position she and her followers have taken since that fateful election 4 years ago.

    The Washington Post said Abrams “played up claims the election was stolen until such tactics became untenable for anyone who claims to be an advocate for American democratic norms and values.”

    Yet she received ZERO backlash for her tirade.

    Clinton claimed 2016 was stolen.

    The left has been accusing the right of stealing elections for decades and certainly since GORE/BUSH in 2000. The Jim Crowe election laws in Georgia claimed by the left have actually led to RECORD TURN OUT in Georgia. Even the left began to realize that having an ID to vote was not a crime since their voter fraud has nothing to do with voting in person.

    Trump Cried Wolf for too long. However, his purpose was served. His anger at the 2020 election shined a very bright light on Election integrity that both sides secretly behind closed doors have harbored for a long, long time.

    Now that States are dealing with this it is time for people to move on. Abrams didn’t. She is Donald Trump 2.0 and it is why she is losing to Kemp by 10 points in a state where Blacks are begining to realize that the GOP is not that bad after all and Kemp is certainly an establishment Politician that stood against Trump having felt the sting of Abrams accusing him of stealing an election. Something everyone forgot about when Kemp would not play ball with Trump in 2020.

    Elon Musk finally bought Twitter — or, as it turned out, was essentially forced to buy Twitter after shooting his mouth off about how keen he was to own it. He is now learning that contracts matter, and that this whole fandango was probably a stupid idea; his first three days at the helm have not, shall we say, inspired a lot of confidence in his managerial acumen.

    Many liberals on Twitter have unfortunately decided that if Musk owns the platform, they must leave. This is a kind of self-deportation that — in my view makes no sense.

    Twitter, so far, is still Twitter: infuriating and fascinating, disgusting and enlightening, full of very nice people and intelligent interlocutors, along with the usual cohort of angry losers, bored juveniles, and wannabe keyboard heroes.

    More to the point, if you believe that it is important to combat disinformation, spread reliable information, and in general try to defend some basic notions of civility, social media is an important arena for doing all of those things. Abandoning this part of the public square to vandals and extremists — who became more vocal on the platform practically from the moment Musk took over — accomplishes nothing.

    But the key is to remember that Twitter is a forum, not a lifestyle. It’s not therapy. It’s not where you’ll save the world or crush your enemies. It’s just people, some of whom are good and some of whom are horrendous jerks, talking to one another.

    Still: When the world’s richest man (and the Saudis, among others), own a huge slice of the public space, it matters. It would matter even if Musk did not have the Twitter persona, as he unfortunately does, of a shitposting teenager. Musk, if he is to be believed, plans to loosen the restrictions on Twitter — again, as is his right — to allow more disinformation. Yesterday, he even tweeted (then deleted) links to a discredited conspiracy theory about the Paul Pelosi assault. He may allow Trump back on the platform.

    But all of that makes it imperative to stay, not go. Disinformation and trolling works best when the malefactors who engage in it create an impression of being a reliable and trustworthy majority, when they can say that “everybody knows this.” Abandoning such places out of some misplaced sense of moral rectitude simply clears the field for more lies and mischief.

    The break-in at Chez Pelosi was caught on video… but the police weren’t monitoring.

    We know, we know… there’s a conspiracy that involves the Pelosi’s, WaPo, the Capitol police, the SFPD and Hollywood who staged the “break in” after the fact to cover up what really happened.

    The officer in D.C. quickly pulled up additional camera angles from around Pelosi’s home and began to backtrack, watching recordings from the minutes before San Francisco police arrived. There, on camera, was a man with a hammer, breaking a glass panel and entering the speaker’s home, according to three people familiar with how Capitol Police learned of the break-in and who have been briefed on or viewed the video themselves.

    Do Covians still believe that this was a gay tryst that went wrong?
