ABC News is all a twitter with news of a secret list (not anymore) of potential vacation spots for the G’itmo inmates

The U.S. military has prepared a list of U.S. military bases that could be used to house as many as 250 detainees currently being held at the U.S. Naval base in Guantanamo Bay, military officials tell ABCNews.com.

The list — which includes Camp Pendleton in California, Fort Leavenworth in Kansas; the Marine Air Station in Miramar, California; and the U.S. Naval Consolidated Brig in South Carolina — has been circulated in a classified brief to members of Congress and was prepared by the Pentagon’s Joint Staff.

Ed Morrisseysays this could be a great public works project for The One, but, hey, look, if we are going to make it a public works project, we need two things: first, it has to either be from the ground up or a massive refurb project, and second, it should be in a Democrat precinct. So, my list:

1. They can take Alcatraz and refurb it. They won’t even need much in security. Let them run free. Have a couple boats circling day and night, the cold water and the sharks would do the rest. If a jihadi manages to escape and make it to ‘Frisco, who cares? They love jihadis in San Fran.
2. District 3 of Kansas would be great. We can build a nice prison, one which will expose the jihadis to the true Kansas experience of tornados, hail, and massive snow.
3. How about a nice floating prison off the coast of Massachusetts? We can take an old freighter, refurb, and park it off the the shores of the Kennedy clan.
4. They can probably find some nice real estate near John Murtha’s house in Pa.
5. North Dakota, which has two Democrat Senators and 1 Democrat in the House, would be great. Wide open spaces, hot as hell in the summer and frickin’ cold and snowy in the winter.
6. The deserts of New Mexico would be super. Perhaps Harry Reid has some ill gotten land he would donate?
7. There must be some good swampland with plenty of gators somewhere in Mary Landrieu’s state.
8. One the smaller islands off the South Western coast of Florida would work great. Perhaps one of the Keys? Surrounded by water and sharks, subject to the hurricanes and tropical storms the jihadis are now used to. Humid as hell. Sounds great. Certainly Bill Nelson, Robert Wexler, and other Dems wouldn’t mind.
9. Camden. Think about it. The jihadis would be in considerably more danger from the citizens of Camden if they escaped then the citizens of Camden would be.
10. Washington, D.C. Two ideas. First, put the detention center in one of the more dangerous parts. Second, use the National Museum of the American Indian. Look, even the Native Americans must be pissed off by how lame the museum is. Seriously boring. Too much empty space. And this way Congress Critters could be reminded of what Islamic jihadis want to do every day.
11. Instead of building one detention center, why not just spread them around to the toughest Supermax jails in the country? And they could be listed as pedophiles. And put in general population. The toughest one. Usually called Cell Block C. Pedophiles do not do well in prison.
12. Hey, since it is Barry who will order the closing, how about somewhere in Illinois? Certainly, almost President Obama wouldn’t object?
13. And the best place for the G’itmo inmates is……Ford Field. The Lions aren’t using it. And, like Camden, if they escape, they are in much more danger from the citizens then the citizens would be from the jihadis.
