    Democrats are slamming a deal House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) reportedly made with conservative hard-liners to vote on a bill that would eliminate the tax code and replace income taxes with a 30% national sales tax.

    McCarthy agreed to give Rep. Buddy Carter’s (R-GA) Fair Tax Act a first-ever floor vote as part of negotiations to become House speaker. The bill would abolish the IRS and eliminate national income, payroll, estate, and corporate taxes in exchange for a 30% national sales tax.

    A 30% national sales tax! On cars, houses, food, clothing, boats, rifles, electricity, gasoline… Would that discourage purchases? Be recessionary? Discourage home buying but a boost to renting?

    Who spends more of their resources on cars, houses, food, clothing, boats, rifles, electricity and gasoline? The working class or the leisure class?

    So, this would be a massive shift of the tax burden onto the backs of the working class.

    Trump claimed he wouldn’t rape E. Jean Carroll because “she’s not by type”.

    When asked to identify a photograph he said, “That’s Marla. That’s my wife”.

    It was a photograph of E. Jean Carroll from the 90s. LOL. His lawyer jumped in and corrected him.
