Biden Finally Orders Strikes On Iran Backed Terrorist Groups

Well, give him credit for allowing the strikes. There are probably a lot of people who lost money in the betting pools that there would be no retaliatory strikes

US hits hard at militias in Iraq and Syria, retaliating for fatal drone attack

The U.S. military launched an air assault on dozens of sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iranian-backed militias and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Friday, in the opening salvo of retaliation for the drone strike that killed three U.S. troops in Jordan last weekend.

The massive barrage of strikes hit more than 85 targets at seven locations, including command and control headquarters, intelligence centers, rockets and missiles, drone and ammunition storage sites and other facilities that were connected to the militias or the IRGC’s Quds Force, the Guard’s expeditionary unit that handles Tehran’s relationship with and arming of regional militias. And President Joe Biden made it clear in a statement that there will be more to come.

The U.S. strikes appeared to stop short of directly targeting Iran or senior leaders of the Revolutionary Guard Quds Force within its borders, as the U.S. tries to prevent the conflict from escalating even further. Iran has denied it was behind the Jordan attack.

It was unclear what the impact will be of the strikes. Days of U.S. warnings may have sent militia members scattering into hiding. With multiple groups operating at various locations in several countries, a knockout blow is unlikely.

And therein lies the issue: did the strikes hit anything of consequence and did they kill the Iranian backed terrorists, or, did they amscray with their weapons? And, really, if Iran wants to get frisky the U.S. needs to strike them back directly. The only thing they know is Islamic extremism and nations pushing their power. And the U.S. can do way more damage to Iran then then go do back.

“Our response began today. It will continue at times and places of our choosing,” Biden warned, adding, “let all those who might seek to do us harm know this: If you harm an American, we will respond.” He and other top U.S. leaders had been saying for days that any American response wouldn’t be just one hit but a “tiered response” over time.

Of course, he did this while taking an early weekend, spending time in Delaware again since Thursday, then heading off to Los Angeles today.

Double of course, the naysayers who are upset that Biden used the military to strike back are Concerned

Biden’s retaliatory strikes in Middle East come with significant political risk: Experts

With U.S. retaliatory strikes underway Friday after three American troops were killed in a drone attack by an Iran-backed militant group, President Joe Biden faces a turning point in the Middle East conflict that carries significant risks of escalation and heavy election-year political consequences.

Yeah, well, if Iran doesn’t want some they shouldn’t start some. Now it’s time to wait for Biden’s wacko base, including the crazies like those in The Squad, to decry the airstrikes as they protect Iran, Islamic terrorists, and all those who hate Israel and Jews.

But, I will give Biden credit for ordering the large scale airstrikes.

And in a move of pure military genius, Brandon told them ahead of time when he would order the strikes..

Remember JL the only secrets that Democrats have is when they’re gonna begin the election steal and how many phony ballots they’re gonna count. Everything else is open to the world. Because let’s face it the only important thing is Democrats power. By any means necessary. That is their model is it not?

  2. Genocide Joe the commie says:

I was watching the ceremony as the dead bodies that Biden created are being brought back to the United states. Just like the good old days. Nothing like some communists in the White House to get some dead soldiers back in America.

The powers that be have managed to convince the American public that Iran launched 197 strikes and only wounded people. Yeah I believe that. Hell, you could fire 197 arrows into the air and you’re gonna kill somebody. And I believe that biden’s not taking bribes. And everything he says is the truth. And he loves America. And his son is innocent. And he doesn’t have secret bank accounts all over. And he didn’t steal an election. I’m just like Elwood an empty headed goofball who believes everything the government tells me. Ohh and everything is Trump’s fault

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Under Big Orange’s reign sixty-five (65) military personnel were killed in the Middle East. That’s 65 dead bodies created by Big Orange.</em

But how do Trump’s claims stand up in terms of safeguarding U.S. troops?

Some 65 American service members died in combat while serving Trump during his time in the White House office from January 2017 to January 2021. There were fatalities every year of his presidency, according to the “hostile action” records compiled by the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), which is maintained by a government defense agency.

Yikes! Fat Donnie killed 65. And to what purpose?

Geno the commie believes the election was stolen from Big Donnie just because Donnie tells him to believe that. He believes President Biden has accepted bribes because Donnie tells him to believe that.

Most strikes occured in Iraq where the government allows the prices of their friend Iran to operate.
Saddam would never allow Iranian based fighters to occupy any of Iraq.
Exactly how teach do you think Biden should react? You criticize him, but can’t offer any better alternative actions. A war with Iran might double the cost of your precious oil. What actions taken by Biden would alter the political decisions of Iran? We saw how little bombing changed the political decisions of Vietnam or the Taliban . Stop their oil exports? Well their biggest customer, China, might have something to say about that as would the American voters if gas went to 5 bucks again. You were all in on the war with Iraq, Iran is 3 times as big and has Russia and China backing them. The 3 dead are a direct reaction to our destabilizing the entire mid east by getting rid of the biggest secular government in that region. I can’t recall any regrets you voiced after that war, including not at least trying to enlist.

    • Jl says:

“A war with Iran might double the cost of oil..” Really? If Iran would quit sponsoring terror groups in that area of the world there possibly wouldn’t be any wars. I know, what a concept..

We saw how little bombing changed the political decisions of Vietnam or the Taliban .

      You are confused.

The problem is that a LITTLE BOMBING didn’t work.

Q: What of American bombing of the Ho Chi Minh trail?

A: Not very effective. Our operations were never compromised by attacks on the trail. At times, accurate B-52 strikes would cause real damage, but we put so much in at the top of the trail that enough men and weapons to prolong the war always came out the bottom. Bombing by smaller planes rarely hit significant targets.

Q: What of American bombing of North Vietnam?
A: If all the bombing had been concentrated at one time, it would have hurt our efforts. But the bombing was expanded in slow stages under Johnson and it didn’t worry us. We had plenty of times to prepare alternative routes and facilities. We always had stockpiles of rice ready to feed the people for months if a harvest were damaged. The Soviets bought rice from Thailand for us.

Q: What was the purpose of the 1968 Tet Offensive?

A: To relieve the pressure Gen. Westmoreland was putting on us in late 1966 and 1967 and to weaken American resolve during a presidential election year.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

the United States and its allies dropped more than 7.5 million tons of bombs on Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia—double the amount dropped on Europe and Asia during World War II. Pound for pound, it remains the largest aerial bombardment in human history.

Yes brilliant because we were able to observe their movements and now know their locations of their back up sites.
Gotta look at the whole board Jyl when you are even just playing checkers.

    • Jl says:

Yes, you’re right Johnny-we should have told the Germans 2 or 3 days before hand where and when we were going to invade Normandy. They have doctors to help what you have, I believe….

Time to unencumber a few billion more Iranian assets so the Farsi’s will be able to write more checks to the MIC (and I don’t mean Mortgage Investment Corporation).

My IRA is heavy on “Aerospace & Defense” (translation: Armed Global Conflict, YAY!) and I’m making almost enough to offset the inflation caused by the FED directing the Department of the Treasury to print cash like it’s going out of style (which it is) so we can all invest in more and deadlier weapons!

    We’re doomed.

    • h says:

Mathew If your IRA is doing no better than the rate of inflation now at 3.6% I would suggest you get a new financial planner.
Why is the American military even over their? Why are we bombing Iraq again? and why will the outcome be any different than it was the first time? When we got rid of Saddam Iraq went from being Iran’s biggest enemy, to Iraq being Iran’s best friend. We dropped 150000 bombs on Iraq and Syria (90% on Iraq) What did it accomplish? What will these strikes accomplish?

      • Matthew says:

Inflation is 3.6%? I hope I’m just as unable to recognize your sarc as you were mine about the MIC.

  7. h says:

Are those bombs you love to drop, Teach, going to destroy anything that is not immediately replaceable? Looking back at your previous embracing of putting our military at risk in the Mideast and Afghanistan, should you be a bit more cautious. It is a hell of a lot easier to start a war than to finish one.
