If only he’d spend as much time on Christianity stuff, speaking for the unborn, preaching the Word of Jesus as he does on Woke stuff. And, maybe, not being part of a doomsday cult. He needs to choose which one he wants to be a part of
Pope Francis says Earth is ‘sick’ in new climate change warning
Pope Francis on Friday urged people around the world to better protect the environment, ahead of a 12-day trip to Southeast Asia next week in which the pontiff is expected to urge global action on climate change.
“If we took the planet’s temperature, it will tell us that the Earth has a fever. And it is sick,” the pontiff said in a video message. “We must commit ourselves to … the protection of nature, changing our personal and community habits.”
Francis releases a video message each month to announce his prayer intentions for that month. The intention for September is “for the cry of the Earth”.
The 87-year-old leader of the global Catholic Church leaves on Monday to visit Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore.
Well, that’s weird. Is he planning on taking this long trip by sailing ship? I suspect it would take quite a bit of time to get to those nations. But, you know, it seems that those who preach from Book Of Gore tend to be the worst offenders.
He’s queer, isn’t he?
So abortion should be more important to the Pope than stewardship of the Earth.
Does the New Testament offer any direction?
Maybe the Church should also address the rape of children by priests.
Anyway, there is nothing conservatives avoid more assiduously than the Words of Jesus!
“Maybe the Church should also address the rape of children by priests.”
Maybe your rape of children should be addressed, since the percentage/likelihood of the general population doing so is more than that of priests, making you suspect by your own terms.
yes, I would believe that the deaths of hundreds of thousands of children per year would have a slight edge in urgency over the stewardship of the earth which so far all there prestidigitations have proven exaggerations.
I’m sure it does although I haven’t read it that way myself.
are you stating here that the church does not address the rape of children by priests? Cause I’ve seen an awful lot of lawsuits and awful lot of problems going on having to do with this that subject. So if that’s your stated position you’re lying or you’re wrong one or the other.
that’s not true part of the reason you hate conservatives so much is because they depend on the words of Jesus and that boils you. Furthermore it’s interesting why you’re always involved in religion and yet you don’t believe in God and have no religion of your own other than Marxism. Talk about a seriously avoiding the word of Jesus you topped the cake.
CarolAnn,
Your belief that zygotes and embryos are persons with the rights and obligations of the born is not widely believed.
You’re entitled to your to your beliefs but you’re not entitled to make everone abide by your beliefs. The Dobbs decison was to return the regulation of reproductive medicine to the states, and so it did. Currently, the citizens of many states are working to democratically “abort” the restrictions. We’ll see how that turns out.
I fervently wish that modern conservatives would follow the teachings of Jesus! Jesus empathized with the poor, the infirm and afflicted, even strangers…
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me
I suspect that many non-religious Americans DID learn of the teachings of Jesus, but reasoned that the supernatural aspects of religions were not supported by evidence. Yet, the love for your fellow man, as shown by Jesus, IS consitent with reason. Just my hpotheses. We SHOULD teach empathy, sympathy, kindness, mercy, tolerance, inclusivity and charity!
I WAS a Christian until my early teens.
