“Palestinians” Pushing For Ceasefire At UN Or Something

Suddenly, now that Sinwar is corpseified, the Palestinians want a ceasefire. They sure weren’t pushing much while Sinwar and Hamas were stonewalling

Palestinians pressing UN Security Council to call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

The Palestinian Authority is pressing the United Nations Security Council to approve a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, as the UN warned that the humanitarian crisis in the enclave had intensified.

“We will be pressing for as quickly as possible for a resolution, demanding an immediate ceasefire” in Gaza, Palestinian Authority ambassador Riyad Mansour told reporters in New York on Saturday.

The resolution would also bring “humanitarian assistance to scale” to all corners of Gaza, he said, adding that the resolution could be brought forward as early as Tuesday.

They could get it in a heartbeat if Hamas would surrender, release all the hostages, and the Palestinians in Gaza stopped supporting terrorist organizations and terrorism against Israel and Jews.

“We need to save lives, not to kill more people, and we need to stop this crime against humanity and war” as well as the “crime of forced displacement” that Israel is committing, he said.

“It is the duty of the Security Council to say, ‘we demand an immediate ceasefire and compliance by all parties, and we demand that this take place, for example, within 24 hours or within 40 hours. Or else,” Mansour said.

Or else what, Sparky? Israel has been kicking the ever-lovin’ sh*t out of Hamas. Where will you get all the weapons and such? The PLO supports Iran, but, Iran doesn’t support the PLO. Iran supported Hamas. And the PLO is a designated terrorist organization by several US government agencies, as well as by law.

Overall he called for an Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 lines and for a two-state resolution to the conflict with east Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state.

So, let’s say Israel goes back to the pre-1967 lines: that would mean the West Bank belongs to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt (though, some will say those were “Palestinian” areas): neither country wants Palestinians, they are too much trouble. Might those nations say “GTFO”? If the Palestinians in Gaza weren’t so violent Israel would probably let them have Gaza. Don’t forget that Egypt has a big wall on their border with Gaza.

Hagari: IDF to strike Hezbollah financial institutions, expose Iranian terror funding
“In the coming days, we will reveal how Iran funds Hezbollah’s terrorism using civilian institutions, associations, and charities as cover for their operations.”

By strike, they mean they will blow them up. Good.

The so-called ‘Palestinian Authority’ are the ‘government’ in Judea and Samaria, not Gaza, but they’ve mostly been quiet since Hamas started the war a year ago, because they knew that Hamas’ radical bloviating resonated more with the savages than anything more moderate. Though Israel has taken several actions in that area, it hasn’t been like the all-out war which has devastated Gaza. Now that the gargoyle of Gaza has been sent to Jahannam, with his arm seriously injured and a hole blown in his head, the ‘Authority’ fears that Israel will turn on them.

Because of a lack of support from Israel, Hamas was able to force the Palestinian , Authority out of Gaza. Israel would rather deal with 2 weakened oppositions rather than one unified. Israel always knew that Hamas was more violent but was prior to Oct 7 willing to accept that. Bibi has a vonly a very slight majority in Israel, he must always placate the extreme right wing to remain in power
He cares more about staying in power then in a ceasefire and prisoner exchange.

Once again, Hamas wants the UN to give them a cease fire so they can rest, reorganize and resupply. Why would Hamas think the UN has any authority whatsoever to demand that Israel stop fighting? Why would the UN care what Hamas, a terrorist organization, wants? Does Hamas still have any legitimate ownership structure? Who gets all their accounts if all the chief executives get killed without signing them over? “Poor” Sinwa. Squirreled away all that money for his retirement and didn’t live long enough to enjoy it. Looks to me like the remnants of Hamas need to hold elections to see who the next leader is.
