FYI, if you are still having issues getting Blogrolling to update your site since the September 28th snafu, and you are using WordPress, you might try turning on the WP Cache plugin. Might just be a coincidence, but ever since I turned it on, I have had no problems with updating. BTW, from what I […]

Think long and hard before upgrading. Make sure you back everything up. Make sure you have plenty of time. Turn most plugins off, then slowly turn them on. Older verions of Sideblog make it go insane. That is what I have found so far. Working on getting things back to normal, so things might look […]

Playing with some new plugins. Was trying to see why it took so long for comments to post. Long story short, Bad Behavior 2.0.7 slows them down quite a bit. Don’t get me wrong, one of the best plugins out there, but, I have turned it off, at least temporarily, in order to speed up […]

(I’ve been sitting on this damn post for almost a month, ’bout time to post it, now that I have had ample experience with Xihna) See, I have been looking around for a plugin or plugins that would replace my existing WYSIWYG editor. I do not use the default WP one, as I like to […]

The PiratesCove theme (which is actually Laila 2.0) is Widgets compatible. However, it is just not worth the effort to configure it all so that only certain things show […]

Check it out, folks. Another great plugin for your WordPress blog: the PDA Plugin. What it does is format your WP blog for web access using PDA browsers. Check the screenshot at the plugin site. Essentially, you are cutting out all the sidebar stuff, headers, java scripts, etc, leaving pretty much just the content. Dramatically […]

One of the downsides to WordPress (one of the very few) is that comments and trackbacks/pingbacks get all jumbled together. Now, you might get a theme, like K2, that does this (see Blue Star Chronicles for a good example in action.) But, you might want to use a different theme. If you get lots of […]

So, you upgraded to WP 2.0 and higher. Guess what? It doesn't really like alot of the old theme switching plugins. What happens is, you pick a different theme, and the page reloads with the same one, so you have to refresh. And, sometimes they come up blank. Or, you get "the theme has moved […]
