Of course, the Associate Press offers really bad headlines
Supreme Court allows Virginia to resume its purge of voter registrations https://t.co/BY6NSKFz0w
— WRAL NEWS in NC (@WRAL) October 30, 2024
A lot of other Credentialed News outlets are running the same headline, as well as the other AP one
Supreme Court’s conservative justices allow Virginia to resume its purge of voter registrations
ZOMG, those horrible conservative justices subverting Democracy, taking the right to vote away! But, at least the story jumps right into the reality
The Supreme Court’s conservative majority on Wednesday allowed Virginia to resume its purge of voter registrations that the state says is aimed at stopping people who are not U.S. citizens from voting.
The high court, over the dissents of the three liberal justices, granted an emergency appeal from Virginia’s Republican administration led by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. The court provided no rationale for its action, which is typical in emergency appeals.
Non-citizens should not be allowed to vote. Period. Why is the AP not asking why the Liberal justices voted to allow non-citizens to vote in federal elections?
The justices acted on Virginia’s appeal after a federal judge found that the state illegally purged more than 1,600 voter registrations in the past two months. A federal appeals court had previously allowed the judge’s order to remain in effect.
Such voting is rare in American elections, but the specter of immigrants voting illegally has been a main part of the political messaging this year from former President Donald Trump and other Republicans.
1,600 is no small number, and can influence races, especially down ballot ones. And, this is 1,600 they know about
The National Voter Registration Act requires a 90-day “quiet period” ahead of elections for the maintenance of voter rolls so that legitimate voters are not removed from the rolls by bureaucratic errors or last-minute mistakes that cannot be quickly corrected.
Non-citizens are not legitimate voters. Can mistakes be made? Sure. Just like mistakes were made to allow the non-citizens onto the voting rolls.

The White House and supportive news media outlets are trying to do cleanup, but, we can all watch and see it
Obama called us clingers.
Hillary called us deplorables.
Kamala calls us fascists.
And Biden just called us garbage. They don’t respect us & don’t want unity.
But we do.
We want to Make America Great Again.
Our coalition is for ALL AMERICANS.
And in 7 days, we will UNITE… pic.twitter.com/WYZePbYOyK— Byron Donalds (@ByronDonalds) October 30, 2024
There’s no apostrophe, as the White House and Politico, among others, tried to add in, making it “supporter’s” not “supporters”
President Biden went viral Tuesday night for comments disparaging Trump supporters as his No. 2 Vice President Kamala Harris made a major speech to voters from the Ellipse right outside the White House.
During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden took a swipe at former President Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden, which made headlines after insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe made jokes mocking different ethnic groups with one joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
The jokes thing was dumb: Tony should have left it alone. Not the time, not the place, and poorly delivered (he tried it the previous Saturday night, and, it bombed. He’s no Don Rickles), I will say that. But, only the hardcore leftists are Offended, most are like “Tony, you’re stupid. That sucked”
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “[Trump’s] demonization of Latinos is Unconscionable and it is un-American.”
“This is disgusting,” Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance reacted. “Kamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half of the country. There’s no excuse for this. I hope American reject it.”
“Woof. Calls half the country ‘garbage’ while Harris speaks,” CNN contributor Scott Jennings said.
“Well there he is. So outraged by Tony the comedian that the sitting president borrows the garbage characterization to apply it to half of America. I imagine the cable news set will be all over this tomorrow, right?” Ruthless podcast co-host Josh Holmes wondered.
No, they’re all doing cleanup for Biden, as they usually do
(Fox News) White House spokesperson Andrew Bates told Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich that President Biden “referred to the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden rally as ‘garbage.’”
“The president was referencing a joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe in which he likened Puerto Rico to an island of floating ‘garbage’ in the middle of the ocean,” he said. (snip)
“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporters at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden wrote in a post on X. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”
Listen to what Biden said: he did, in fact, call all Trump voters garbage. Would Biden really spend time yammering at one dumb comedian? Wouldn’t he have named him and directly link him to Trump? No, Biden called everyone garbage. And, the more the media bring this up the more people who have yet to vote will see this, listen to it, and realize that Biden was calling Americans garbage.

In order to build all those EVs Biden wants for Other People many things are needed, including lithium and Boron
America Approves Colossal Nevada Mine With Enough Lithium for Untold Millions of Electric Cars
The Biden administration has approved a gigantic lithium and boron mine — and though the project could revolutionize America’s electric car industry, critics say it could also endanger the survival of a rare wildflower species.
As the Washington Post reports, the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in southern Nevada, roughly halfway between Las Vegas and Reno, could provide the country with an important source of the alkali metal, which is a crucial component of EV batteries.
According to the report, the mine could produce enough lithium for around 370,000 vehicles each year for more than two decades, giving the United States a massive leg up in the reproduction of electric cars. So far, the country has largely relied on lithium battery imports and has been home to just one operating lithium mine.
Obviously, the same enviro-weenies pushing for EVs have issues
Still, environmentalists have raised concerns about the mine endangering wildlife species that thrive in the area, as well as its water consumption. The area has been battling a historic drought, as WaPo points out.
How long till they sue?
The company behind the project, an Australia-based mining firm called Ioneer, tried to reassure the public during a call with reporters on Thursday.
The Biden regime couldn’t have found an American company to do this on American land? Really? They’re getting a $700 million loan from the DOE (which will probably never be paid back). Anyhow, the extreme-greens are worried about an endangered wildflower, and
(Las Vegas Review-Journal) An Australian mining company’s lithium-boron mine in Nevada passed all environmental hurdles on Thursday, and an environmental group immediately notified the federal government that it plans to sue.
In a letter to Interior Department officials, the Center for Biological Diversity announced its intention to file a lawsuit, calling the mine an unacceptable threat to an endangered wildflower known as Tiehm’s buckwheat. The organization’s successful campaign for an emergency listing under the Endangered Species Act greatly shifted the mine’s plan of operations, with more accommodations made for the plant.
You can bet there will be others, and they will jam up the project, meaning there is no way that it will open in 2028.

It’s a weird thing: she is going to be in North Carolina Wednesday, doing something or other at Walnut Creek Amphitheater (I’d rather see Judas Priest), but, then, this
Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is waving the white flag in North Carolina, surrendering the state to former President Donald Trump as her campaign withdraws nearly $2 million in planned ad buys from television stations statewide one week before the election.
The more than $1.7 million in canceled ad buys by Harris’s campaign in North Carolina suggests that her team believes, given polling data and early vote data, that the Tar Heel State is no longer in play for her.
More than 3 million people have already voted in early voting in North Carolina, which can be done via mail-in absentee ballot or via in-person locations around the state. Republicans, interestingly, for the first time ever actually lead the early vote–North Carolina provides the partisan breakdown and demographic data on early voters in the state–something they have done now for more than a week. This remarkably consistent GOP lead has shocked political observers, and comes as demographic data also suggests Democrats face serious issues in competing at the top of the ticket in the state. Black voter turnout is down approximately 3 percent from 2020, and about 1 percent more men than women, as compared with 2020, are voting in the state. These strong headwinds against Harris in North Carolina were proving to be a major issue for her in the closing days of the campaign as she set to flip the only battleground state out of seven nationwide that Trump won in 2020. For comparison purposes, again Trump won North Carolina in 2020–and the electorate per the early voting data based on millions of votes cast so far suggests a much more GOP-friendly electorate even than then.
In addition, older voters are turning out in much higher numbers while younger voters are dropping off from last time:
Has she given up? Because she’ll be here and Tampon Tim will be cavorting around (no one knows where) NC. Is it just not worth spending the money in NC? Why not go to Virginia, if that is the case? Older voters will definitely skew in Trump’s favor. Maybe because the top issues are exactly what Kamala is bad at?
(WTVD) A Pew Research Poll found that 81% of respondents rated the economy as “very important” to their vote, ranking as the top issue.
“The cost of food, the cost of going out to eat, all those aspects that you do everyday, (when) you pull up to the fuel pump,” said Ronnie Casey.
“Just the cost of food. My daughter actually came home two days ago with two small bags. Small bags. They weren’t even full from the supermarket. And she said $75 in groceries. Two small bags. And I can’t wrap my head around that,” added Jacqueline Falacara.
Vote Kamala and you get more of this.
Will this apply to the People’s Republik Of California Highway Patrol? It just wouldn’t be the same CHiPs if Ponch and Baker had to quietly buzz up to people doing wrong. Well, after charging up, patrolling for a little bit, then charging up again (via Green Jihad)
California is planning new rules that ramp up sales of zero-emission motorcycles in its quest to battle climate-warming gasses. Under the rules, over 280,000 would be sold by 2045. https://t.co/UgI028y8A5
— Spectrum News 1 SoCal (@SpecNews1SoCal) October 28, 2024
From the link
The regulations would impose a credit system for manufacturers so that 10% of motorcycles sold in California would be zero-emissions in 2028 and 50% in 2035, according to the state Air Resources Board. At the same time, a tighter standard for new gas-powered motorcycles would ratchet down their emissions for the first time in more than 25 years.
Under the proposed rules, more than 280,000 new electric or hydrogen motorcycles would be sold in California by 2045 — about eight times more than the total on its roads now. Electric motorcycles make up only 1% of current motorcycle sales.
The state Air Resources Board will vote on the proposed rules on Nov. 7 after a public hearing.
This would be the same unelected board which imposed the EV mandate on Comrades of the PRC, without noting if any of the members drive on themselves. Now they want to do this for motorcycles, and scheduled their public hearing for the day after election day. Weird, that, eh?
Anyhow, an EV bike might be fine for those who are simply puttering around town, but, most folks I know who ride want a motorcycle, not a scooter.

This is the woman who’s been vice president for almost 4 years and hasn’t really helped most working and middle class Americans, right? I’m just wondering how good of an idea this is, since she’s been Angry Woman as of late, and if she jumps into Word Salad it will be a bad look. Seriously, her written speeches read off a teleprompter include word salad
Harris reaches for a big moment in her closing argument for ‘turning the page’ on Trump
Vice President Kamala Harris will pledge to Americans that she’ll work to improve their lives while Republican Donald Trump is only in it for himself as she delivers her campaign’s closing argument Tuesday from the same site where the former president fomented the Capitol insurrection in 2021.
One week out from Election Day, Harris’ address from the grassy Ellipse near the White House is designed to encourage Americans to visualize their alternate futures if she or Trump takes over the Oval Office in less than three months.
She hoped to sharpen that contrast by delivering her capstone speech from the place where Trump on Jan. 6, 2021, spewed falsehoods about the 2020 presidential election that inspired a crowd to march to the Capitol and try unsuccessfully to halt the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory and the sealing of his own defeat.
Was this AP article written by the Harris campaign? It’s so partisan that the AP is proving they are not a news service
On Tuesday, aides said, Harris aims to look beyond the startling imagery of her location on the Ellipse to make a broader case for voters to reject Trump and consider what she offers.
“There’s a big difference between he and I,” Harris told reporters Monday in previewing her speech. “If he were elected, on day one he’s going to sit in the Oval Office working on his enemies list. On day one, if I am elected, which I fully expect to be, I will be working on behalf of the American people on my to-do list.”
Her “to-do” list since January 20th 2020 hasn’t helped Americans, unless they are rich. Her new to-do list is worse. Price controls on food will certainly help, right? Nothing will go wrong, right?
Harris was expected to use her speech to lay out a pragmatic and forward-looking plan for the country, including reminding voters about her economic proposals and pledging to staunchly work for access to reproductive care, including abortion.
Also central to her message: positioning herself as a “new generation” of leader after Trump and even her current boss, Biden.
As for Trump, she said Monday, “People are literally ready to turn the page. They’re tired of it.”
Harris is 60. How will that be a new generation of leader? How does it help to finally lay out a “plan” one week before the election? The speech will simply be about abortion, her bad sticky note economic ideas, and Trump Trump Trump. There will be nothing new. Enough voters turned the page on Trump four years ago, but, the horrendously bad Biden-Harris administration brought a new book. Remember, Harris said that she wouldn’t do anything different from her time as VP.
Every single thing she does is scripted.
She simply cannot function without one. pic.twitter.com/JpZ4IDRpRD

She can barely function with a script.
You know what will be missing from her speech? American flags. Patriotic apparel.

How Bay Area Churches Are Becoming Hubs for Climate Change Solutions
Black churches in the Bay Area are taking the lead on retrofitting their buildings with clean energy to become ‘resilience hubs’ in the event of a major storm or climate-related event. It’s part of a national movement called Green The Church, an organization merging the Black faith community and environmental justice.
The rest is simply a podcast. Which is pretty cultish. One of the things that Green The Church is about is amplifying green theology. Shouldn’t they be amplifying the Word Of God? That is the purpose of a Christian church, right?
Green the Church is a sustainability initiative designed to tap into the power and purpose of the Black Church Community and expand the role of churches as centers for environmental and economic resilience. As the Environmental Organization of the Black Church, we strive to teach faith communities, environmental organizations, and individual practitioners how to work in concert in order to “Green” The Black Church. Green The Church was created and developed by Carroll Ministries International.
Sounds like it is part of the Cult Of Climastrology, making the teaching of the Bible and Jesus second fiddle. Seriously, the whole thing sounds like a leftwing scam designed to replace religion with that of a state sponsored doom cult, and we’ve seen over the years how the left has been trying to replace religion with worship of the State.

A vote for Kamala is a vote to continue lackluster economic conditions. The Credentialed Media can yammer all the want about how super duper awesome the Biden-Harris economy is and that you should get on your knees to thank them, but, Americans feel different
Inflation-shocked low- and middle-income Americans may not spend normally for years
Putting “fun” back into low- and middle-income Americans’ budgets could be years away with most of their income barely covering the surge in costs for bare necessities, economists said.
Even with annual inflation last month cooling to the lowest level since February 2021 and wages rising faster than inflation, low- and middle-income Americans are just barely covering their essentials, which include groceries, shelter, utilities and gasoline, economists say.
That’s because when inflation slows, it only means prices aren’t rising as quickly, not that prices are declining. So, Americans continue to pay higher prices for everyday needs.
Low- and middle-income Americans were hit disproportionately harder than their higher-income peers because essentials account for a larger share of their budgets, and their discretionary spending, or spending on nonessential items like dining out, vacations and entertainment, is only just recovering, economists say.
So, when all the celebs like Beyonce, Springsteen, DiCaprio, etc, start saying how great things are under Biden-Harris and now want Harris-Walz, none of this affects them. They’re living just fine.
“For a very large share of Americans, the bottom 60% are spending more on essentials than before the pandemic,” said Michael Pearce, Oxford Economics deputy chief U.S. economist. “The burden is hardest among the lowest income but also touches middle income. Spending patterns of low-income Americans will take years to recover.” (snip)
A Gallup poll this month showed 52% of Americans said they and their families are worse off today than they were four years ago. “Inflation likely underlies Americans’ perceptions that the economy is poor, even against a backdrop of generally low unemployment, steady economic growth, and record stock and housing values,” it said.
Americans feel the pain
The last time low-income Americans’ discretionary spending fell this much, which was during the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, it took five to 10 years for spending patterns to return to previous levels, he said.
“And the reason was gas prices fell,” Pearce said. Global oil prices fell by about 70% between 2014-16, which pushed pump prices sharply lower and helped low-income Americans catch up.
The policies of Obama and his Democrats kept the pain alive. Vote Trump and he’ll work to lower gas prices, which can lower the cost of goods and food quickly.
